Although this is not my favorite from the various restaurants we have been to in Paris, it is not bad. The service is excellent, although it takes the concept "one table next to the other" (so unique in Paris) to the max limit. It is quite noisy, so we could not have a nice conversation, which was basically killed by... More

Loved Camille! This corner restaurant has excellent, fresh bistro food, a lively atmosphere and very friendly attentive service - a perfect Paris bistro experience. Try all the classic dishes - steak au poivre, escargots, poissons, moules - all delicious at a very good value.

Camille has become a favorite of mine after many trips to Paris. The food is consistently good: fresh and seasonal ingredients prepared in classic French methods. Standouts from my recent visits include: beef carpaccio, sea bass filets, duck and the popular raspberry tart. The service has always been both friendly and efficient. In colder months, I've had lovely braised leeks... More

Camille earns a 4 not only for good food, but consistency. We usually go on Sunday for lunch and the whole area around Place des Voges is crowded. Tables out side are great for crowd watching and also for listening to the wonderful musicians who perform around this area. The restaurant inside is very nice looking with windows on 2... More

Typical french bistro, very nice service and the best duck i've ever had. You need to go there when you are in paris. If you would like to come past 9pm make a reservation otherwise you have to wait

Our dinner at Camille's was fantastic primarily because of the great service by Jennifer and the manager. The food was good, but the friendliness of the staff is what made this night memorable. It is in Le Marais area of Paris which is my favorite area. We were all served a complimentary glass of champagne by the manager to make... More

I went primarily because a friend lives close by, and he managed to get a reservation last minute. It was “convenient.” My philosophy is that the dining experience should be about the whole experience. This restaurant did not deliver. It appears that all the Americans and foreigners were banned to the back room, and the few French if any were... More

For breakfast. Can you believe it? Even the tea was bad. And the staff were not very friendly. But they do make good fresh orange juice.

Walked by - felt hungry and got in. A large variety menu. Went for the days specials - white asparagus with mousselinesauce - and as main the veal chop. It was a really really good lunch. Good service. Crowded popular restaurant that quickly was filled with locals and tourists. No WiFi -"We are not that modern.." - but who cares... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
