No fuss french

Nice setting in great area. Tartar is recommended. Beef carpaccio looked great and my friend was really happy with it. Attentive and polite service. Also in English (believe it or not).

This restaurant in the Marais district was recommended by our hotel and we were very pleased that they suggested it. We had one of our favourite meals in Paris here. Very friendly and helpful service which made a big difference. Good choice of food for each course - delicious steak and fantastic duck with creamed potatoes and Cassis sauce. Excellent... More

Went there for lunch. Very busy but we were seated immediately. Light salad and a minute steak. Decent food, tasty. They have a brasserie menu, set menu or a la carte. Prices are reasonable. A quick in and out though some people would spend a long lunch there. Busy and loud

This was probably the best French cafe we have dined at. The food was super fresh, tasty and at very affordable prices. The cafe feels very authentic and is located in a very arty neighbourhood, just few steps away from Pablo Picasso museum.

So nice to visit this area and come across a classic bistro. We both had Steak Frittes, cooked to perfection in our classic bistro with a tap beer and glass of red wine. The Waiter was concerned that we wanted our steaks well done since we were from the US, we said No Way! He smiled. Excellent location. Lovely street... More

Fantastic bistro with very well executed dishes, large portions and a very nice house wine selection. Our waitress, Laurance, was superb - very helpful, attentive and non-intrusive. Would highly recommend this bistro for ambiance, food quality and service.

My sister and I were caught in the rain while looking for a place to have dinner. We came upon Camille and decided to eat there while taking shelter. It turned out to be a great little restaurant. The wait staff were very helpful and professional. The food was authentic French cooking, very simple but delicious. We liked it so... More

Although this is not my favorite from the various restaurants we have been to in Paris, it is not bad. The service is excellent, although it takes the concept "one table next to the other" (so unique in Paris) to the max limit. It is quite noisy, so we could not have a nice conversation, which was basically killed by... More

Loved Camille! This corner restaurant has excellent, fresh bistro food, a lively atmosphere and very friendly attentive service - a perfect Paris bistro experience. Try all the classic dishes - steak au poivre, escargots, poissons, moules - all delicious at a very good value.

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
