There are only a few cafes or places in this area to have lunch which means that most cafes' and bistros are crowded and struggle to provide good food and service. We were on our way to our 2.30 appointment at Picasso's museum when we stopped to have a quick lunch. Despite the chilly day we sat outside on the... More

This restaurant is frequented by both locals and visitors. The staff is charming and comfortable in both French and English for the most part. They offer a set of standard menu items but seldom changes. It is full of French standards such as steak frites, duck, veal, etc. Their duck and veal liver are especially good. It's a nice neighborhood... More

We wanted to have a pre-dinner drink, but obviously we stopped in the wrong place: stroppy service and expensive drinks. We were seated in a small table near the door with freezing drafts coming in, we had to beg to have the drinks list and then we were clearly invited to leave the place as soon as possible. We happily... More

The staff were incredibly rude and insulting, refusing us service for only ordering one meal to share between two. They seated us next to the front door which was extremely cold, with the waiter actually waving his finger in my face when I told him what I wanted to eat. It was unprofessional and quite frankly disgusting service.

We enjoyed a delicious meal here. The food was great, the service was fun, friendly and attentive, and they were great with our friends' small child. It was open on New Year's Day too. A fun night out.

Don't go. Barely Average service. Barely average food. May be tolerable, but for the price tag. If an establishment wants to charge above average prices in an environment as competitive as Marais, then they need to be held accountable. My family and I were very disappointed. Look at my other reviews and you will see that I am very fair.... More

We had Christmas lunch here and enjoyed the classic warm bistro atmosphere very much. We tried the blackboard specials and all were well prepared and tasty. The waiter spoke English and was professional. Definitely worth at least one visit and we strongly contemplated going back - another time!

On a rainy night the Camille welcomed us with excellent traditional food. Not cheap, but of great quality. We had the onion soup and the filet and shared a great apricot pie, all washed down with very good pouilly fumee. Service was superb and it looked like many of the diners were locals and were treated with respect by the... More

Well, we found this place thanks to TripAdvisor and it was really a fantastic surprise! Coozy bistrot, with a super friendly series of waiters that suggested us fantastic food. We had soup and a dish of mixed charcuterie as starter; but the core were the mains: splendid duck con fit and even better veal kidneys rosted. To come back soon!

I've actually been to this place for lunch a couple of years ago but for this visit we hired the Boris bikes (can't remember the Parisian name for them) and rode from where we were staying (near Le Louvre) over to Le Marais to go there for Sunday Brunch (on a hangover - see my review of Le Hanger). It's... More
