Decent Restaurant at Louvre

The restaurant largely is housed in the verandah across Louvre. Though it could get warm the sight of people in the backdrop of the Louvre pyramid is just exciting. We found the staff very co-operative though the service is a tad slow. The suggested food was quite good. We reached here around lunch... read more

What a marvellous setting in front of the glass pyramid of the Louvre! When weather permitting the lunch on the terrasse is recommended. The menu is very rich with a wide selection of meals. Service is OK, could be improved!

What an arrogance ! Wanted to have early evening drinks and appetizers at Café Marly yesterday. The place was 30% full. Most people were having drinks. The waitress told us they could only give us a table if we’re ordering dinner. Sunset is at 10 pm this time of the year in Paris and no one have dinner before 9…... More

Having been to Cafe Marly several times, I was eager to have lunch there with my friend. The location could not be better, a veranda looking over the courtyard of the Louvre. Our first hostess was very kind and obliging, but everyone else? The wait staff and the second hostess were at best incompetent and unhelpful. We sat down and,... More

The food is acceptable and the service can be quite slow. If you get a terrace table, you'll most certainly enjoy the view of the Louvre and the pyramid. Depending on the time of the day, you might be right in the sun and it can be hot. If eating inside, ask for a table overlooking one of the Louvre's... More

Knowing it was part of the Costes chain which I usually enjoy for late lunch, my friends and I decided to try Cafe Marly. Just by enterring the place I could already tell that the service was going to be terrible, which it was and the food was mediocre. What made it even worse was how unprofessional the manager was,... We first discovered Cafe Marly at 1am in the depths of winter when looking for somewhere to enjoy a glass of wine post opera. Overlooking Les Pyramides, it delivered completely - wine was fantastic, the outdoor heaters served their purpose and the view was amazing. A second visit a week or so ago was just as good but we have... More

Really disappointed. I mean considering the sightseeing, the place is unique. We had a really good table just in front of the piramid. With that into my mind the place is really beautiful and the dinner is great. However the food is awful and expensive for what it's. As a summary, if you want to enjoy the dinner in the... More

Dear Manuel, Our location is indeed unique, the louvre and its pyramid on one side and the Eiffel tower on the other side. It is unfortunate that you had a problem with the food which we usually have good feedbacks from the majority of our clients. We hope you can come back and have a real Cafe Marly experience! More

I was invited to dine at Cafe Marly at the Louvre by two of my French colleagues. Specifically to dine outside in the terrace area to enjoy the wonderful views. The long narrow terrace has very small tables running on either side and it was full. Without a reservation it would appear quite difficult to obtain a table. Thus booking... More

Dear Steve, Indeed, it is a very good idea to have a drink and enjoy the view. We do often get full so a reservation is recommended as you have mentioned. The service may take some more time than usual when we are fully booked but we aim to improve on our waiters time management and have taken note of... More

It's still one of my favorite places to watch the sunset on the Louvre, right by the pyramide. Very romantic atmosphere, especially if you're lucky enough to be seated under the arcades. However, you clearly pay for the view. The food itself is just ok. Not bad but not good either. We also didn't like that they didn't show us... More
