We enjoyed our meal here. The portions were very generous. However, we felt that the service wasn't very attentive. The 2 waiters were too busy hanging out at a table where their friends were eating. As we walked out after struggling to get service we saw both of the waiters smoking outside with the people from the other table.

The food was only so-so. One of the signature dishes was aligot, a stringy cheesy mashed potato, the presentation was fantastic and well worth checking out although the dish wasn't to my taste. The duck breast was so tough it was impossible to chew. The serving sizes are enormous. They leave the serving dish on your table and I wonder... More

A nice place to have lunch in Paris. Typical countryside place and food. Don't miss the delicious aligot.

Very pleasant place, friendly personnel and tasty regional dishes. Most interesting are aligot ( potato puree mixed with special regional cheese) and large pot of chocolate muss. Many thanks to Olga from Portugal (speaking English), who served us and it was interesting to talk with her.. Recommend to all guests of Paris to investigate regional restaurants

Tables not close together. They leave the serving dish on the table and you are welcome to help yourself to as much as you want. Be sure to have, Aligot, lentil salad, and the wonderful chocolate mousse (thick, chocolately). Warm, friendly service. Not dressy

My family ate dinner here on a Sunday night after a long day of walking around Paris in unusually cold and rainy July weather. The hearty cuisine at l'Ambassade d'Auvergne hit the spot for us as a satisfying end to our day, even if it didn't blow us away. A few of us ordered the green lentils salad to start,... More

We had read that this place erred on the generous side when it came to food and, boy, it really does! After being brought nibbles with our aperitif there was then a pot of rillettes and delicious bread. I had the lentil and bacon salad to start and the waitress put a serving on my plate before leaving the dish... More

We had dinner on a Sunday night. The food was excellent - a plate of very fine French charcuterie, excellent pork caramelized with spices (very original and delicious) and lamb (perfectly cooked and served with very nice vegetables) as our entrees, and excellent raspberry macaroon to finish. The southern French wine list is excellent too and good value for money.... More

I was in Paris with nine friends, and we needed a place to dine well. I had extensively researched Paris, and this place was high on the list among foodies. We called and made reservations for that evening, and they were kind enough to open up a separate room for nine American tourists. Our server was kind, helpful, and fun.... More

My second time visiting Paris with friends and wasn't expecting much based on my first experience. This restaurant, amongst a few other great things, falafels in Le Marais, Frenchie To Go and Le Marais in general has completely changed my views on Paris and I can't wait to go back. The staff were fun, vibrant and attentive, we had the... More
