When we arrived, the maitre d'h in pink trousers just waved his hand to where our table was instead of taking it to us. We knew what we wanted before as we had been before. My husband ordered the wine. Pink trousers said "how can you order the wine without my advice". We came for the aligot and the Auvergne... More

I can't be bothered writing this but do not go there. Surely there are better places to eat. We paid 220 euros for a poor meal with poor service. How timeout recommends this is staggering.

We have now been to Paris for 1 week. We have been to many very good restaurants. L'Astrance is clearly the best we have been to, which was the topic of my other review. But among all the rest, Ambassade was quite surprisingly the next most recommended. I have always wanted to go, due to information from various "foodie" sources.... More

A nice taste of Auvergne in central Paris - nothing complicated but very well executed and professional throughout. Very quiet - a perfect setting if you want to enjoy a lengthy conversation. The terrine de lievre is very good.

I have been going to Ambassade d’Auvergne for 10 years now. It is my yearly visit to a restaurant in Paris. The atmosphere is homey, the service friendly and the food is always divine. If you love rustic food, this place is more than recommended. IT IS A MUST-GO...

Perhaps we went on a bad night, but this was the worst meal we've ever had at a professional restaurant. Not just in Paris. Ever. We were one of the first tables seated on a fairly slow night, and you would think that would mean they would have the ability to make sure the food was cooked correctly. Not true.... More

This restaurant in on the edge of the Marais. The decor in the main part of the restaurant is heavy with beams and wood and looks really cosy and traditional. The food was regional and unpretentious and really good. I started with the lentils and the had the grilled fish - hearty dishes - lovely. For pudding I had the... More

We went here at the recommendation of our friends and we weren't disappointed. If you like good solid heart warming food then this is your place. Mashed potatoe with cheese (and trufle) is a house special. Theres escargoes, sausage, duck, lamb and beef and so on. We had some great wine too. Staff were very friendly and overall we really... I was staying in the area when attending the COP21. This restaurant was perfect for dinner. I was seated at a common table ( sounds bad, but actually very good). Was able to speak with others at the table. Good food, good service.
