The location for the Cafe de la Paix is excellent, right next to the Opera and near Printemps department store. The building is interesting and the restaurant has a good atmosphere with plush decorations. On arrival you are professionally greeted and looked after. Service is smart, well paced, and when we have eaten there, not too fast or too slow.... more

When I entered, I was promptly led to a table. However, after they brought out their "menu," they told me that they weren't serving any food, only beverages (and limited pastries, excluding their Millefeuille). Excellent seafood. Expensive but worth it. Old style plush decorations. Lovely way to enjoy good food and good wine in Paris. Make a stop the next time you enjoy "la cite lumiere" I've never been disapointed. Make sure to reserve ahead of time... more
