This place has an amazing location and a great interior but a bellow average coffee and service. The prices are also over the top.

We ate at the Cafe de la Paix whilst staying at Le Grand Intercontinental Hotel on a recent trip to Paris. The ambiance of the cafe is superb; the service second to none and the food simply divine. We decided to have the 4 course set dinner menu which we thought was fantastic value for money at 82 euros. We... More

Great Buffet Breakfast, with a wide variation of choice for everyone. Give it a try. A bit pricey but worth every penny.

I was really looking forward to this meal, but unfortunately it did not end well for three of the four in my party. Four of us had french onion soup (which was delicious btw) and then three of the four of us had the lamb special for our main course. It tasted fine, but wasn't great. It certainly didn't taste... Cafe de la Paix is an amazing and luxury bar - restaurant. A perfect place for having a glass of Champagne before attending the Opera. It does not suit for tight pockets. A must-see place when visiting Paris.

Their menu is good. The various kinds os coffees are good. Watching the golden Opera is awesome! But the price is high. Not for a banquet!

Being a regular of the Opera district, I've always wanted to pay a visit to the Café de la Paix. So we went for coffee, which was, like the patisseries, tasty and presented in the manner you'd expect from such a location. The Haussmann architecture and the beautiful interior were the reasons that brought me there, and its late 19th... More

We had lunch in the cafe after the Hop on Hop off bus narration stated this was a high quality restaurant. The waiter was unable to converse in English well. When I explained I was gluten free he told me I could only have a shrimp salad.... It was good, but expensive, 24 Euro. Wine was 9 Euro, Coke, 8... More

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
