We dined at Cafe Constant twice. Both experiences were wonderful. Our waiters were accommodating (offering us an English menu) and constantly replenished our carafe de l'eau (water). My son tried the duck and potato pie and was pleased. I was more pedestrian and stuck with the veal cordon-bleu. This is a great, affordable cafe. Main course with wine is about... More

After hearing so much about Café Constant, we headed there on our first night in Paris. We were prepared for the wait, had a drink at the crowded bar and soaked in the atmosphere. Heard so much about this being a "typical" Paris bistro but have to say we found several just as typical, if not more so, bistros during... More

My husband and I went here on our last night in Paris. It was the best meal in a series of outstanding meals. The food and service was outstanding, but I recommend dressing up a bit as the locals are always stylish. The langoustine raviolis with artichoke foam produced one of those "Oh my goodness, wait till you taste this!"... More

Found this restaurant on tripadvisor. Lucky for us it was near our hotel and we were not disappointed. Waited about 20 mins for a table for two on a Monday. Our server was great and spoke perfect English. My wife's beef stew melted in your mouth and my steak was cooked perfectly with delicious potatoes to accompany it. The appetizer... More

This place apparently doesn't take reservations. We showed up for dinner and waited about 20 mins to be seated. It was well worth the wait! The food was excellent, the service was attentive and very typical French bistro atmosphere. Loved it! Would definitely come again.

Celebrity Christian Constant has built a small gastronomic empire on rue St. Dominique comprised of his Michelin star Violon d’Ingres, Café Constant and Les Cocottes, together with several “allied” restaurant (e.g. Fables de la Fontaine) operated by his protégés. Each merits its reputation and is worth a visit. Café Constant if Chef Constant’s take on a classic Paris bistro minus... More

My group of six had wanted to have dinner at Cafe Constant on our first evening in Paris, and since they don't take reservations we arrived a few minutes before opening time, 7pm. A short queue had already formed outside but we were able to be seated after only a few minutes. I would recommend being outside the restaurant about... More

A trip advisor delight which proved to be exactly as reviewed. This small restaurant on St. Dominic had a fine selection to choose from, and more delicious when eaten. Our waiter was very helpful in choosing our lunch, and the service was excellent. What more could any one want, oh a point I want to make at this time is... More

Small place although they have seating upstairs. Food was outstanding and the wine suggested by the waiter was on point with my dish.
