Art Nouveau style at its best! And the food is not bad either!

Really light and airy dining room with lots of wall decor to keep your eyes busy between excellent dishes, which are very traditional and simple, like the onion soup starter, but at the same time very tasteful. I have visited a lot of traditional brasseries in Paris, this is by far one of the best... read more

Except for the initial beer on a very hot day (which was almost luke-warm, and - after a serious talk with the waiter - replaced by a new perfectly chilled beer) we were treated most kindly and the food was gorgeous. Great wines, too. We'll certainaly be there again!

The interior of Julien is extraordinary with its stained glass ceiling, mirrored walls and paintings of femininity inspired by Mucha - and one you will not soon forget. The service is excellent with close attention being paid to patrons. But the biggest surprise was the quality of the food which was exceptional. We had the grilled chateaubriand steak and roasted... We knew all about the art deco grandeur of this brasserie prior to our visit, Sometimes it means a grand setting but low food quality. Not in this instance. Fine food and wine, friendly and helpful service, completing a great night out in this exquisite restaurant.

Went here on a recommendation from the person we rented the apartment from and we really enjoyed our meal. The food was excellent and the decor lovely. Service fine too. We were slightly put off by being seated in an empty restaurant (we arrived on the early side) at a table in the back by the restroom. Otherwise, no complaints... More

The service was grand. The Art Deco is fabulous. The set price menu is good. They are open late and don't rush. The "butchers choice" is excellent beef. We ate here twice on this trip to Paris.

We were with another couple and made reservations on line. They confirmed by email. The location is in a more seedy area than many other Paris neighborhoods. We had to pass people sleeping on the street and several panhandlers to get there but we found it worthwhile. Like most reviews the Art Nuevo decoration is as good as it gets.... More

This place really lived up to the reviews - when you enter they seat you right away and give you a glass of champagne on the house to begin. I had steak tartare, which can be really difficult to get right, but it was absolutely sublime and they catered to British squeamishness by very, very lightly browning the outside, which... More

My wife and I spent last week in Paris and had a wonderful time. This restaurant was our absolute favorite and we liked it so much that we went back a second time later in the week. The food and wine choices were terrific, but the best part of our visit was the terrific service that we received from Anis.... More

On the plus side, a lovely if somewhat tired art deco room serving decent food in a neighborhood otherwise populated by kebab places and fast food. On the negative, its somewhat expensive (EUR 32 for two course lunch, EUR 39 for 3 courses) and the service is just horrible. We arrived at noon to an empty restaurant and I explained... More
