Been here several times now and one of my favorites in the Esprit chain in Paris. It sits rather strangely in a district which does not look very salubrious but no doubt is very safe. Not much to look at outside, it is very ornate inside. On the evening we were there there was a large business group, some French... More

This was our second trip to this wonderful Art Nouveau restaurant. This time there were 7 of us. Just being there is amazing, the decor, original stained glass and mirrors is delightful. The set menu is really good quality and reasonable price for Paris. We have also been to another smaller branch of the chain in east Paris which is... More

I took my two teenagers here on a trip to Paris as I wanted to treat them to a lovely meal in traditional Parisian surroundings. It was really lovely from the minute we entered, to a warm welcome. The food was just amazing and the service discreet but humorous and our lovely waiter, sensing our curiosity, gently tipped each dish... More

Snails were terrible, salad was leaves, chips were cold, dessert a child could do better. Literally the meal was not great. We still had a lovely time as it was sheer comedy watching the circus unravel.

Thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance, the cuisine and the service. The art nouveau design just added to the experience. Please make an effort to dine here regardless of other reviews. It didn't disappoint.

Fabulous ambience, great service. Food excellently prepared. A time capsule out of the 20's, which wasn't crowded or touristed when we visited.

Went with a group - 15 of us, so we had pre-ordered. Food was pretty good - really enjoyed my steak - but the waiter was just appalling: rude, argumentative, unhelpful and someone who clearly should not be working in the service industry. Despite the great decor and decent food, I just would not go back, it was that bad... More

We visited Julien for dinner on one of our first nights in Paris. We were wowed by the decor and ambience. The food was lovely, and service attentive (tall waiter). As we had enjoyed our experience we decided to go back again tonight (4 weeks later), I was thoroughly underwhelmed by service it was so indifferent and blasé. The food... More

The food is very good and the service is lovely, but the real star is the restaurant itself. There are few more beautiful restaurants in Paris, and I don’t believe there is a single restaurant that is more Parisian. The original art nouveau decor is exactly what you want to be surrounded by when you’re tasting traditional French cuisine. While... More

I rarely ate such badly prepared food - Extremely disappointing. - Sounds as if it came from a supermarket, heated up and brought to your table … Very long service - Escargots mild , nearly cold. Garnish (shallot) with foie de veau cold. Cold plates - Sounds like a tourist trap, although waiters are trying to be nice. It seems... More
