We had a delicious dinner here with a classic seafood tower that was about the best one we had on our trip. Service was excellent and we had a cozy table upstairs.

Went to Boffinger yesterday with a group of friends from Asia. We were five, ready to enjoy ou experience. Unfortunately it was bad. Not extremely bad, but just bad. The welcome was too much, then the service was bad. Our waiter had a problem in another table and was in a bad mood. The maitre was also bad. Like passing... More

Whenever we're in Paris, dinner at the Brasserie Bofinger is a must - and we've never been disappointed. The location is just fantastic (typical Parisian brasserie with mosaic floor, arcade glass ceiling, wood panelling etc.) and the food is excellent. They serve a refined French cuisine, its emphasis being on seafood (if you love oysters, crabs, lobsters etc. you gonna... More

Interesting place for a traditional French meal, a real Parisian institution. A bit run down and pompous but good nonetheless. Quality wine list and incredible selection of oysters.

No more expensive than most, but worth every euro. Wonderful ambience with high ceiling, domed skylight, mirrors, and wood paneling. Fois gras to die for, plats that delight the eye as well as the palate, and service to match.

My wife, two sons, mother-in-law and I headed across from Ireland to Paris for 5 nights for our 20th wedding anniversary and mother-in-law's 70th Birthday. Prior to travel we made reservations in 3 restaurants - Bofinger, Le P'tit breguet, and Bistrotters and informed them of the reasons for our celebratory trip. For reviews of other two, see appropriate restaurant pages.... More

If you are willing to see through the way the French manage a brasserie, then go here. Go here and enjoy by watching the staff run around like crazy. By trying to explain to them what you'd like to eat (in French). By looking around to see many different people having fun, a serious conversation or try to have a... More

Although it's beautiful in the restaurant and my choucroutte was delicious... my mother's liver was full of veins. Also, when I got my plate, after 2 bites, I realized they had not given me the blood sausage that is supposed to come with it. When I asked the waiter for it, he accused me of having already eaten it all!... More

Bofinger is the place to go for seafood. They didn't have whelks unfortunately, but it's better not to get something than to get something that isn't fresh. And freshness is what oysters are all about. Here I dare to eat all the stuff I wouldn't touch elsewhere. Nice steak tartare, too! Desserts are all fine, nothing adventurous. Good wines. Set... More

I chose Bofinger as a typical Paris Brasserie and was delighted with the meal and overall experience. Online booking was very straightforward and although the tables are quite close together the atmosphere is very nice. Waiters are attentive and knowledgeable and the food was excellent. My wife had the shellfish platter which was superb, I chose the steak tartare which... More
