Beautiful Food, Disappointing Service

We went to Bofinger on a Saturday night for my 30th birthday dinner. Reservations for 2 were made weeks in advance, we were punctual, and looking to have an indulgent and laid-back evening. The food was absolutely delicious, as were the wine pairings. Decor is stunning and though the overhead... read more

Visited several times recently and not disappointed at any time.Service still superb and the best in my opinion of all others in the group in paris.Has an overall better choice on menus and even if you haven't reserved, will try and accommodate you with preferential seating of your choice if you are a couple. Seating arrangements are such that you can... More

This is a beautiful restaurant with a stained glass ceiling. The menu had plenty of interesting choices, and the monk fish was delicious and the dessert sampler was amazing!

Expensive meal for sure, but the decor and the food were awesome. Menu has no pizza nor Asian food as mentioned in the description.

Very nice ambiance and nice service, you can enjoy the high quality of their food. We had a delicious Prestige Seafood Platter but too bad we did not have time to taste more of their kitchen because they closed without asking for a last order, we must say that the manager was very helpful and did his best to meet... I had really looked forward to eat at this restaurant, just do not go there when you are pregnant. There is not a lot one can order and the waiters were clueless and uninterested. I received a completely tasteless black burned duck (bien cuit) but that started to bleed after a few bites. My boyfriend ordered a lobster and he... More

We booked a table at this restaurant to celebrate my 30th birthday, however, my boyfriend also proposed to me on the same day, for this reason we had plenty of reasons for a beautiful meal in Paris. We were not disappointed, the art noveau atmosphere was simply stunning and our food delicious. I had the duck foie gras with pinot... More

We have been here in August to celebrate my wife's birthday. We have been there before and it was ok however we had sea food platters (plateaux de fruits de mer) which does not need any cookery skills. This time I went as a starter for the poached egg with chanterelles which was tasty however the mushrooms were not cleaned... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
