I was in Paris for the weekend and had the second dinner at Brasserie Bofinger. The place was classic and french with a beautiful glass dome. Our waiter was friendly and nice and we got our menues fast. We ordered the starter with lobster and scallops and it was very fresh. The size of the starter was good too. As... More

A real French traditional Brasserie. Service was exceptional from the first minute to the last one. Efficient and discrete. Food was generous and very good. Decor not fancy but typical of a French Brasserie. We had very good time, and we will come again .

Had lunch at Brasserie Bofinger in October with friends. The place is huge, so even though I we didn't have a reservation, we were welcomed and a table next to the windows found for us quickly. For starters we all had the fois gras, which was excellent. For main, I had the game casserole. The meat was tender and savoury.... More

I had to laugh at the review complaining that the waiter did not speak English. Here's the scoop on Bofinger and other classic brasseries in Paris: The French have more or less stopped going because they are full of tourists. That's what a knowledgeable Parisian friend of mine told me, and when i visited a couple of others, that seemed... More

We came here with a friend who'd wanted to dine here for a long time. We were not disappointed. The service was friendly and marvelous, the decadent seafood appetizer (langoustines, lobster, crab, shrimp, snails) was delicious, and our main courses--sea choucroute, traditional charcuterie, and canard--were delightful. The profiteroles for dessert were especially marvelous, with hot chocolate sauce (with particularly delicious,... More

This old time brassiere remains a must visit on your trip to Paris. The 100 plus year old Art Deco jewel at the Bastille serves cuisine from the Alsace area along with fresh shellfish from all over the continent and the British isles. Start with oysters on the half shell or foie gras, then move on to scallops or salmon,... More

Six of us enjoyed a great dinner at this classic brasserie. The surroundings and décor are old style brasserie fabulous. Service was impeccable. My wife and I had as many oysters as we could eat followed by dover sole. Together with a bottle of Chablis Premier Cru the bill for the two of us totalled one hundred and eighty euros.... More

In the heart of Paris, just off Place de la Bastille a restaurant you may visit for its decor if not for the food:ceramics and glass roof of the XIX th. century second half.A traditionnal typical french brasserie menu; the oignon soup was an absolute flop-full of bread ,it can fit only if one decides to eat it as an one... Sublime experience. The food was amazing and the atmosphere magical. Worth going to Paris just to eat the French onion soup there
