Recommended by our travel guide (Lonely planet), we had booked in advance. From the outside, this did not look to charming, but during the evening we really began to like this place. As the concept here was good knowledge of wine, we chose the surprise menu for both food and wine. The waiter asked for allergies and preferences, and then... More

We went for the 5 courses with 4 paired wines menu. All of the food was very good (duck breast with violet mustard particularly so) but the real stars were the wines. The wine pairings were done as blind tastings and the restaurant had deliberately chosen wines from unusual locations or that were not typical of their location to trick... More

The owner is one of the best Sommelier in the world. You don't know the food that they are serving but you need to guess after they serve the wine.

The private dining room with the blind wine tasting menus makes an excellent setting for a business lunch. The food was very nicely done and wine prints were perfect.

Been here twice six years apart and enjoyed both evenings very much. The food isn't special and the wines aren't special. But both are good. The menu with the blind wine pairings is what makes it fun and interesting. The staff is enthusiastic about the concept. They even suggest you take pictures of the labels. We were surprised by a... Went here with my wife after reading some recommendations and being intrigued by the concept of the blind wine tasting to go with the meal. We had the "Discovery Menu" (4 courses with 3 wines) which was the "basic" choice of the three available dinner menus. The food was solid - nothing overly sophisticated but tasty and well presented, but... More

I'm surprised by the number of excellent reviews for this restaurant. I though it was average only. The food is like so much that you find in Paris - unadventurous, samey. It was fine, no more. I thought the recommended wines were also dull, and why always French wines, when the rest of the works has so much (better) to... More

He's not kidding. This is an excellent foodie quality restaurant with excellent service and an outstanding wine list. But, try the wine from the owner's own vinyard!

We first visited this restaurant 18 years ago, and we were eager to return (they were not open on other occasions when we were in Paris). Little did we know that the owner and sommelier, Philippe Faure-Brac, was celebrating the 30th anniversary of his first sommelier award on the the night we reserved! So we arrived to a party! We...
