We booked a table and arrived 21.00 to the Bistrot 121. There were some 4 persons table availabe we, not natives, got table near by kitchen. Not the best start. They had english menu, we didn't ask that, but it was nice. I wondered why in this restanrant there was not menu of the day... at least not visible for... More

My husband proposed to me at this restaurant in 2003. We went back to Paris to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary last week. The restaurant had been updated and modernized since our last visit but we were not seated in that section. Instead we were seated in a booth where the seat had a hole in it and a larger... More

Just a decent meal. A reasonable foie gras, a greasy speghettini with squid, a decent dessert. Prices in line with quality, Will not go back.

We were recommended by friends to dine there but left somewhat disappointed after our lunch as everything was extremely uninspiring that we had. Whilst it certainly provides decent value, it is let down by the food quality, my wife had crab with celery remoulade, which lacked decent quantities of crab, while my 'cocotte' of poched egg with duck livers, rather... We went twice within a week and were extremely satisfied by the service, wine list (short, excellent and well priced) and quality of the food. The atmosphere is laid back, "branchée", sophisticated and toung.

It is not bad, service is quite good, value is ok, but very run of the mill, not worth getting out of your way, when so many awesome restaurants compete for your attention in Paris. Despite all the efforts from the waiter to convince me the food is freshly cooked, the dishes felt so standard that I have to suspect... More

Decent quality food, and the restaurant/service have a touch of class. In terms of dishes, you get the full range here; from stable classics like Beouf Bourgignon all the way Tête de Veau (Cow Brains). I bought my English parents here and they felt limited to the classic half of the menu, but don't let that put you off. Definitely... More

We enjoyed a wonderful 2+ hour dinner here. We were the only English speaking people there. We had made a reservation using .lafourchette.com, which gave us the added bonus of: bottled water, bottle of wine and coffee. As is typical, dinner is a leisurely affair and we thoroughly enjoyed our appetizers of heirloom tomatoes/eggplant & cheesy cocotte with foie gras,... More

The service was the highlight of this restaurant; one person in our party of three was stuck in bad traffic and was almost an hour late for our reservation. The two of us who were on time were never made to feel rushed; as we waited, the waiter patiently checked on us from time to time, and served us wine... More
