Recommended by a friend, the Auberge provided one of the best meals we enjoyed in Paris and at a modest price. The lunch menu for 21 euros offers a choice of an entrees and plat or a plat and dessert. My wife and I ate lunch here five years ago and we very pleased. In fact, I remembered the regional... More

A few days ago I had a group meal in this lovely restaurant which is really well decorated and has helpful friendly staff. The menu had plenty of choice and the waitress talked us through the different options available. I had a starter with a delicate goat cheese and this was so different to how I have had it before.... The food is good and (at least for me), quite original, with a nice variety of meat- or fish-based specialties from the Basque Region, concluding with great desserts. The service was outstanding, which is not this common in Paris. Good for groups too as the restaurant has a couple of private dining rooms upstairs. Off the beaten path but easily... More

I was staying at the hotel next door, which is under the same ownership. The meal was wonderful- the only criticism I could make would be that the portions were so big it was difficult to eat everything. Even my preliminary gin and tonic was huge, and the starter of piperade was also very generous. By London standards this is... More

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel and do we went there with high expectations for our last evening in Paris, but left a little disappointed. They did have English language menus, which was helpful, but the service was slow and inattentive even by French standards. The food was mostly good, but not exceptional.

This restaurant is serving Basque cuisine. The Basque regions is split between France and Spain, and is famous for its strong sense of identity. Of course, Basque people have something to show for themselves, since they do cook great food. And this place has plenty of Basque specialties for you to sample, like their appetizer, ham, boudin, fish, Basque cheese... More

Our family wanted a nice neighborhood restaurant near our hotel(Marriott Rive Gauche). We got that plus such much more. The funny thing is that we were the only non French speakers there so that we really got a real experience. Food was excellent. Staff were very patient and gracious with us. It set the standard for all the other restaurants... More

This is a typical Paris restaurant, small, family run, with a rich, comfortable atmosphere. If you are not intimately familiar with different national cuisines in Europe, then it may be hard to distinguish the Basque menu from French food. But that's alright; the food is excellent, the prices are good, the service is gentile, and the overall experience is very... More

with good food, attentional service. A real oasis in Paris. And a small hotel by its side Vert Galant. Don't miss it, reservations accepted.

What a find! A small party of six of us had one of the best dinners I have eaten in France. Serving authentic Basque dishes, using products from the south-west of France, every mouthful of the three courses we ate was a delight. Once the "Cabaret de Madame Grégoire" and haunt of Victor Hugo, the delightful building has upstairs and... More
