Good but not memorable

I took the menu prestige with 4 courses. The main course with roasted duck and panfried foie gras wasn't bad but was no match for the 2 delicious entrees (marinated scallops and lobster). Maybe it's a Monday night. There're not many customers in the restaurant and most customers were rather... read more

I was in Paris for business and looked for a good place to eat on Monday (mission almost impossible). Found this great restaurant very close to the station. Service, atmosphere (at lunch very business wise) and the food. Lunch menu is also very affordable €42 for 3 course menu.

This place has earned its Michelin star honestly. Beginning with a tasty amuse bouche, it continued with an exciting pairing of two preparations of fois gras. I cannot identify the means of presentation, but I can certainly say I have never experienced the like. The main course was an incredible lamb, served with roquefort raviolis, a pairing I had never... More

Delicious cuisine showcases produce from Landes, the Chalosse and the sea. Specialists of fois gras parfume de truffe et crevettes a la citronnelle. A good wine list from Bordeaux region. Elegant decor and confortable restaurant, very close to the metro station Daumesnil, Paris 12 and close to my house there.

Enjoyed pan seared foie gras, followed by sweetbread on spinach and a meringue desert. A nice traditional french haute cuisine meal with great Madiran red wine. Rather pricy, but then again this is a one star Michelin restaurant.

We enjoyed another superb dinner in this fine restaurant. From the duck confit to the fig tart it was an exceptional meal! I cannot wait to return!

My wife and I invited 2 French friends to join us for dinner at Au Trou Gascon last evening. It was the first time there for them, and the first time in many years for us. From the very beginning, even before the restaurant was (mostly) full, the service coming out of the kitchen was so slow I had to... More

The cuisine is very creative and excellent. The way to mix some calamri with pork and reinvented piperade is amazingly good; the Cassoulet is fantastic. there two things which deserve some improvement: a/ there is no Valet and in this section of Paris, this may become a serious problem if you go by car (best is to park at Gare... My son and I enjoyed a spectacular meal at Au Trou Gascon. From the warm greeting at the door to our final farewell, everything was just perfect. The neutral hues of the dining room provided a soothing setting for our meal. We both began with asparagus, which was perfectly cooked and served with a delicate emulsion. My main course, cassoulet,... More

This is a great little neighbor restaurant that has a nice ambiance , a combination of classic and modern art and neutral colored walls that work the space in a lovely fashion. Unlike others, I have always had top rate friendly service and I am sure it is not because 'Je parle francais comme une parisienne' Non…everyone seems to be... More
