Over the years, I've sent many friends to enjoy the wonderful hot chocolate at Angelinas. Our breakfast last week was decadent and delicious. Since we were staying nearby, we stopped in a second time for an afternoon snack, where my daughter proclaimed that the ice cream was "life changing." While there were many tourists dining at Angelinas, I also saw... more

I've read the other reviews, and let me say that if you want a special experience of decadence and elegance with chocolate done perfectly, you must visit Angelina. Maybe we were lucky but I have never experience the tourist log jam. Be patience and ask for a window seat by Rue Rivoli. Here is a simple formula without breaking the... more

Sure, it might be a bit touristy. But it's like not going to the Eiffel Tower or the Louvre for the same reason. Great place for breakfast or lunch. Simple food done brilliantly. The croque monsieur was amongst the best I have ever had. Perfect. The hot chocolate is incredible. We saw people having the champagne brunch and were very... more

Had a lovely drink and snack here in November. The Hot Chocolate is the most incredible I have ever had - definitely worth the trip there. Would highly recommend. Comes in a jug with cram on the side. Rich and delicious. We also had some cheese and bread there to accompany it and it was delicious. Service is very 'Parisienne'... more

This was our worst restaurant experience in Paris. The line to get in was full of tourists because the locals know better and stay away. The line was really long. The host must of been a sheep herder. The service is poor. They herd you in and stick you in a cramped space. Did you ever have something that is... more

This place has the ultimate hot chocolate - bar none. Go just for this. A bit past its former glory, snooty and expensive, but one of those Parisian things you have to do. A great way to build up the kilojoules needed for a day at the nearby Louvre. more

Several years ago I ate breakfast there every day for a week. The omelettes are superb. The Croque Monsieur is a little bit of heaven and the African Hot Chocalate is like drinking a perfect chocolate souffle. Now the pastries may not be the best in Paris (people tell me they aren't) but, I've not had better. It's an institution... more

This place doesn't need my help. It is an institution. I ate the croque monsieur and my wife had quiche. We both had a Mont Blanc for desert. It is a must to experience in Paris for lunch if you want to be transported back into another time. So delicious I wrote the review just to have a nice memory... more

Sure, Eur21 for a cake and a pot of hot chocolate for two is expensive, but you won't be able to walk for an hour afterwards. Angelina's deserves to be famous as a teabreak destination. more
