If you're looking for fancy and trendy, that's not the place! But if you're looking for the great French cuisine worth every penny then rush to la Pomponette! Dont miss on the excellent starters and the steak tartare! Its clientele is mainly locals and more specifically people living in the Abesses area. So the mood is jolly and simple and... More

The atmosphere is fantastic and the food memorable. You'll love their cat , who wanders around the room.

Returned here exactly 12 months since last visit. Service excellent. Had the 18€ lunch which was well presented, tasted superb and cooked to perfection. Had the cheeseboard which was great, with plenty of fresh bread throughout. Wine was good and complimented the meal. Looking to return and not waiting a further 12 months.

Authentic food - we lived in a hotel about 3 mins away from here and just found it by chance. Great rustic look and feel, family owned and the food was amazing! We enjoyed everything and all was cooked to perfection. I had steak and can honestly say it's one of the best steaks I've ever had! The waiters/waitresses all... More

We try to visit here when we come to Paris . It was a lucky find one day when we were at the Sacre coer .The restaurant is in Rue Lepic which still retains a villiage atmosmhere We had excellent bottle of Aligote .to go with a beautiful cod served on crushed potatoes and of course the sauce beurre blanc.... We went on a recommendation and were glad we did. Excellent "home-style" rustic menu served with a decent bottle of wine and very helpful and friendly service. It's been run by the same family since 1909 so they must be doing something right!

We were walking around Montmartre looking for a place to have dinner, but every restaurant was overrun with tourists. We went a block off the main route and found A la Pomponnette. Two things were attractive: the posted menu was only in French, and they had white asparagus (this was in May, the white asparagus season). We were not disappointed.... More
