Perfect romantic dinner

My girlfriend and I were celebrating our five year anniversary of dating and decided to go to a fancy restaurant in order to celebrate in style. We arrived at 8:00PM and were seated at a quiet corner table straight away. We ended up choosing the tasting menu (priced at €125/person) because we both... read more

Would thoroughly recommend 1728 for an elegant lunch in beautiful surroundings in Paris. Excellent service with fantastic staff, food is second to non. An amazing treat - though you will need to book in advance!

Today, i have taken lunch with my friend in restaurant1728. The dishes were very delicious and the service was very good, beacause of my stupidity and carelessness, i made the most terrible reviews on the questionnaire , i want to make an apology to all of the staff. I would have given you the highest evaluation.

I had lunch with a friend at 1728 and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The restaurant is laid out in a series of drawing rooms joined by a corridor, in a house once occupied by Madame de Pompadour in the 1st arondissement before she moved into what is now the Presidential Palace. The floors are original oak parquetry, there are high... More

I had dinner here, with business colleagues. The rooms are very impressive. We ordered the price fix meal, including wine. It was very good, but very very expensive (about 170 Euros a person). Slightly pretentious but a great experience.

We were treated to this beautiful experience. It is not just about the food - which is exquisite - but the ambience, the utter, opulence and magnificence of the building and décor. It takes you back in time. It's absolutely sublime.

Dined here recently and was very impressed with the service, food and decor. The staff presented the excellent food in an impeccable manner. We had an explanation of the property and its history from the owner who was clearly passionate about his business.

The decor of the restaurant is very nice and romantic but we were disappointed by the food menu.We took the tasting menu with the wine pairing. Each plate had too many things going on. And the wine wasn't much pairing because for every 2 dishes it was the same wine. Plus the selection of wine wasn't outstanding at all. The only... More

Went here on the recommendation of a coworker who lived in Paris most of his life. Absolutely lovely. Had a long leisurely dinner. Food and wine were excellent. The waiter offered great wine pairing suggestions. Truly felt like we were dining in a castle.
