It opened in January this year at the location of the former Kiwi Corner restaurant. It has been rated on thefork.com website at 8.2/10. We've eaten there and found the restaurant to feature classic French cooking, extremely well prepared in a small congenial restaurant across from the Luxembourg Gardens. We sampled the dishes and found all of them very good to excellent. Nice choice of reasonably priced wines too. I particularly liked the Grand Marnier Souffle. The best part is the very reasonable prices which are shown on the thefork.com website.

Amazing soufflé and lovely atmosphere

Just what you want from a French restaurant - lovely, cosy decor and great soufflés! The service was also excellent. It is always a good sign when the chef comes out to meet his customers, he was rightfully proud of his work. Reasonably priced and a good house white at €4 a glass.

La Cuisine de Philipe is a small restaurant, so it's necessary to do a reservation to ensure you can taste it! Philip came to talk to us to present himself, he was very kind. There is one menu for lunch (27 euros) that is a bit more simple but there is souffle for starters and dessert just as the dinner... More

We decided to try try this restaurant based on trip advisor reviews. We thou roughly enjoyed it! The soufflés we're excellent. My husbands had the braised beef which literally melted in your mouth. I had the Sea bass and our daughter had the Ravioli. All our meals were excellent and the chocolate soufle was yummy. This is a tiny local... More

Amazing little place run by chef Philippe and his wife. You should book in advance. We had asparagus souffle, duck, langoustine ravioli and chocolate Souffle - absolutely delicious. You don't wanna miss this restaurant in Paris!

We visited La Cuisine de Philippe as a birthday treat and were not disappointed. The asparagus soufflé was very light as was the crab and lobster. The main courses were delicious but the dessert soufflés were outstanding. We had the rhubarb and the cherry. Philippe came out of the kitchen and introduced himself to everyone in the small intimate restaurant,... More

Hard to find on a rainy night, but what a wonderful dinner! Very nice personal service, we tried 3 different main courses (beef, fish, chicken, of course much better in French), all were fantastic, then 3 different soufflés for dessert. Wow! Be adventuresome and try whatever is that day's special, you won't be disappointed - including the wine! Best meal... More

Everything that's so good about this establishment has all been covered & repeated in the previous 6 reviews. We loved it too! The best meal & dining experience we've had in Paris & the price is so reasonable.

This was our second visit to this wonderful restaurant near the Luxembourg Gardens. It is small with a gorgeous selection of still life paintings on its walls behind its heavily curtained door. The chef specialises in soufflé and they are perfection! We had them as starter and pudding with an utterly delicious fish main course. It is not a cheap... More

Best soufflé I've ever tried in a small friendly restaurant. Chef makes a personal effort to meet guests and the whole experience was fantastic

We had dinner at this restaurant based upon a referral from a couple that we had met the night before. They come to Paris twice a year and always stop in here. We loved it! The soufflés were exceptional as was everything that we ordered. This will be one of our first stops on our next visit to Paris

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
