We had a perfect evening at Le Chemise. The scrambled eggs with black truffles was one of the best dishes I have had in my life (appetizer). The chocolate "eggroll" dessert was magnificent. My partner enjoyed her meal as much as I enjoyed mine. The atmosphere also was ideal: casual minimalist, as if we were dining in our own homes... More

We've been to this restaurant after recommendation from the concierge of our hotel. We were delighted! The food was delicious, we had a very nice service, the wine was very good. The ambience was cozy and modern. We were very satisfied! Can't wait to be back in Paris to have the experience again!

This place was close to our hotel and since it ranked in the top 100 of all the restaurants in Paris, we took it as a good sign. As others have commented, the menu was short and uncomplicated (which is great) and consisted of good French cuisine (or at least that what's I thought). The staff patiently explained everything on... More

We booked this place online using the fork as it was fairly close to our holiday apartment and sounded great. We were not disappointed! The food and service were excellent, the main waiter/owner was happy to explain the whole menu in English and served us a lovely bread and tapenade appetiser, he also provided great suggestions for wine pairings. For... More

It was a surprise to find this tiny place, close to Place de la République, with good ambient and really good food. The menu is short and the wine list is basically french selection. The staff was very kind, speak french (of course), english and spanish (maybe some more). I took Chateaubriand, really well cooked but the potatoes... a bit... More

My wife and I took a long weekend to celebrate a big anniversary. We ate in several restaurants close to Republique, of which this was the best of a very good bunch. Le Chemise is small and intimate (so good idea to book ahead - I'd guess there are only 25 or so places), open only Monday through Friday. It... More

The restaurant is a cosy setting. The staff are very helpful as my french is not up to scratch but everything was explained clearly in English. I got the prawn ravioli for starters and my girlfriend the frogs legs both were tasty and enjoyable. For mains I got the lamb shank which would melt in your mouth my partner had... More

Located just across the street from our hotel, and with excellent reviews on tripadvisor this was a must-try for us. Our experience however was mixed. And to give the conclusion first; despite som reviews stating otherwise; this is no michelin quality. We started with the wasabi tuna. Very nice but nothing out of the ordinary. We then had the Chateaubriand.... More

Suggested by our concierge at the Hotel Fabric. This place was outstanding. Call ahead for a table - space is very limited. You will not be disappointed.
