Very yummy, healthy & organic

Taken by a friend who has eaten here before and true to her good recommendation, the food was amazing. They do not take reservation for this one (they have another branch in rue Paradis which take reservations as our hotel concierge initially reserved a table here for us). However if you get there... read more

Nanashi, a popular restaurant in the Marais, was fantastic. I had seared fish on a bed of mixed grains, perfectly filling but light. This portion was accented with perfectly ripened tomato slices and cooked greens. The other "half" was a superb salad. The thicker than usual slices of yellow pepper and cabbage created a great base, which was accented but... More

This restaurant is in the Marais and is warm and inviting. Mostly locals visit here. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food very good...all of it:) It's a cross between Japanese and French and they do it well.

We came to this restaurant as it had been recommended by Monocle Magazine which is usually spot-on. The food here was very enjoyable. The three of us shared two salads as a starter with nice black wild rice and veggies including delicious artichokes. The highlight for me was the main, the beef don, with a wonderful bbq sauce and very... More

Nanashi was recommended to us by someone who lives in the neighborhood. It was comfortable, relaxed, wholesome and the service was very attentive. The tofu in the soba dish was perfect. We each had different dishes and we all liked what we ordered. The croquettes were a very delicious starter. The prices were reasonable. We would go again.

Wandering through the Marais, I thought my friend was taking into a grocery store, Trendy and unpretentious, Nanashi offered a simple menu of bento boxes and main courses. Service was attentive, the food was tasty and in healthy servings. And with a carafe of wine and dessert it did not break the bank. Went there late and pretty packed so... More

My wife and I were invited to this restaurant. Clearly a trendy place from the moment you enter and sure enough it was packed out for lunch in next to no time . Our host ordered some Bentos and a couple of side dishes. Clearly the Bentos , when they arrived, had little or nothing to do with their Japanese... More

Stumbled upon this place in the 3rd arrondissement and it did not disappoint. Very popular with the locals and quick service. We were just in for coffee and dessert so I cannot comment on the food but the dessert was certainly quite delicious (carrot cake and chocolate fondant)! Hoping to go back to try some of the main courses. Refreshing... More

Some of our best friends are vegan or vegetarian - Paris can be a challenge for them. Nanashi is recommended by Patricia Wells and is a wonderful mix of vegetables and delicious salads. Great wine selection. Extremely friendly and relaxed wait staff. Can't wait to go back.

Finding Nanashi was a breath if fresh air in Paris after eating more traditional French fare. The food may not be traditional Japanese but it was light, full of flavour and relatively healthy. The service was outstanding especially from the maitre'd (who was I think Japanese) and our Swedish waitress - very friendly, helpful and efficient.

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
