Still Great--but Busy!!

We found this VERY little restaurant during a trip to Paris almost two years ago and loved it then. We were prepared to be disappointed when we tried it again, but it lived up to its reputation. My shared the foie gras as an entrée, as well as their sampler (menu indecis), then she had a small... read more

This is a busy and cosy little restaurant in Montmartre and I can only echo everyone's good reviews. The owner and his staff could not do enough to help us and advise- explaining the menu in English to me and in French to my friend (who was brushing up her school French!). We both had three courses (Onglet Boeuf main... More

We stumbled upon this place by chance, looking for a place to have dinner, and had a good time. The food is simple, but very tasty - I had the beef, which I can recommend others. The place is small - we had to move around to get to our seat, and once sat down, you sit down. The ambience... More

Although some of the food we had wasn't quite to our English palates, the food we did like was exceptional. The restaurant itself was a beautiful little place, very quaint with beautiful cosy decoration. The staff were fantastic and were kind enough to ask me if I wanted to practice my french or if I will allow them to practice their... More

Recommended on Time Out so decided to book ( no need in Feb), very friendly, pleasant young manager who carefully explained each dish to us, not a huge selection but enough. Restaurant in a little side street just off busy Rue Lepic. Steak and trout selected, both pretty good although steak a little overlooked. Excellent wine selection. Go for Dessert... More

We went here after reading the tripadvisor reviews. It is a nice french bistro, limited menu but everything is explained well in english, they also take their time for all their guests. We ordered the frois gras and aspareges as starter and the beef for main. It was good rustic food for a reasonable price in paris. We paid 85... More

Booked this restaurant following its good reviews. Hidden away you realise it must be good to be fully booked most nights and the moment you enter the door you see why. The staff are very welcoming and they are passionate about the food and wine. The menu is chalked on a board but you are taken through each item slowly... More

My husband and I spent a romantic weekend in Paris as very kindly a friend had bought us Eurostar tickets and a padlock for the bridge as our wedding present (we got hitched in August). We stayed in the Montmarte area with 100's of restaurants to choose from. We found this cute little area away from the tourist area and... More

Came here for lunch as the evening was booked up. 2 courses for 15 euros was such good value for what you get! Wanted to go for 3 courses but was far too full after the main course! The salad for a starter was the nicest salad i've ever had!

I've always loved French food so when backpacking across Europe for our honeymoon we had to go to a proper French restaurant in Paris. The first night we went to go here they were full so we booked to go the next day. When we arrived the staff remembered our names and were very accommodating. I ordered my steak blue... More

Staying in Montmartre

Neighborhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colors, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
