Our local friends in Paris insisted that we commit at least one dinner to Les Deux Canards while we were visiting...boy, am I glad we did. A small, but comfortable room was our home for a leisurely and enjoyable evening meal. The blackboard menu offerings, plus daily specials provided great variety - veal, lamb, fish, beef - the hard decision... More

Quite simply, this was one of the best meals I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. The food was simple but magnificent - I had the duck (and will never look at duck the same again as a result), my girlfriend had the veal kidney (she's a lot braver than I am). Our starters and desserts were also beyond fantastic... More

Good choice. Had salmon. Very tasty, hot and filling! Would come back again. Decor pleasant and service very obliging. Worth a visit.

We bumped into this restaurant 23 years ago by chance and the owner was extremely friendly to 2 young wet and hungry Brits on a Saturday evening without a reservation. 23 years on we thought we would track down the restaurant to see if it had changed; not a bit. It still has the same unbelievably great atmosphere and welcoming... More

The restaurant is located in the Opera district of Paris and is near the Bonnes Nouvelles metro station. The restaurant is small with maybe 20 tables. The décor is very interesting. The owner greets you at the door and gives you new customer tour/show once you are seated. He is very nice and speaks English, French and German. His mother... More

The atmosphere of the restaurant is great, and the owner will make sure you know all about the story of the place. The food is good, not great, particularly for large groups as the kitchen does not seem to scale well. Would I come back? Yes indeed, but only as a small party.

It was close to our hotel, we were tired from the long flight and it looked like a traditional place. Also, we like to eat duck! It was fun, it is hyped and the waiter up-sells everything. The food was good but not great for Paris and not for the money. The stories about the food and the original owner... More

When you come in, you get a lot of theatre from the owner about recepies and history. But the food needs some more theatre in preparation. As confit de canards lovers, we were exited to eat here, but the quality was not good. It seemed to be prepared without love....

The introduction by the head waiter prepared us for the culinary delights to come. In a masterful manner, he conjured up an aura surrounding the preparation of the orange base used in the main dish, 'duck l'orange'. Wines, cheeses and deserts complemented the main courses to make it a most enjoyable dining experience.

Recommended by our hotel, and so happy we checked it out. The owner and staff were amazing, telling us the history of the place (in English) and showing us examples of the day's meals as they went on past us serving other tables. Everything we ordered was delicious - duck, clams, seafood, crepes etc. The creme brulee (the top burnt... More
