Best lava cake

The food was delicious! We would recommend the steak, salmon or salad. There was a mustard dressing that came along with the salad that was fantastic. The service was average and the location was good. The lava cake was incredible and would probably go back for it alone. Enjoyed the experience and... read more

There are so many great restaurant kitchens in Paris which struggle with lack of dining space, poor restaurant location and doubtful ambience that it is a shock to find a restaurant which has a very convenient but quiet location, has two dining rooms and reasonable room for outside dining, and has all the physical attributes including zinc bar of a... We were five people in an empty restaurant where we spent 240 euros to celebrate a birthday. The food is not bad, but the attitude of the female manager was beyond rude. We were not drunk nor out of control, but merely having a good time between close friends in an empty restaurant on a late sunday afternoon. We were... More

Nice spot. Short walk from the Invalides on the way to the Eiffel or Champs des Mars. Cafe Creme was euro 4.50 and Hot Chocolate was euro 5.00 Hot chocolate was served with a small jug of hot milk. For Paris getting a decent coffee is like finding a rare coin. Most cafes now use the "automatique" machine, the kind... More

I had La Poule Au Pot, the namesake of the restaurant, and I thought it fantastic. It really hit the spot after an afternoon of walking around. I thought it went nicely with the savinnieres they had by the glass. I would definitely come back. My children absolutely loved their pasta and declared this was their favorite restaurant in France... More

We went to this restaurant just before going to the Eiffel Tower. I ordered a sirloin steak with chips and pointed to it specifically on the menu. The waiter then nodded his head and repeated what I had ordered. My Dad the ordered pasta of the day. When they brought my food it was a rump steak with mashed potato... More

Nestled in a charming old section of the 7th arrondissement in Paris, not far from the Seine, we discovered this wonderful place, and can't figure out why we only found it this year! We had two consecutive Sunday dinners(midday,of course) and came away very pleased with our choices. Some selections were traditional classic bistro, steak with sauce Roquefort, others had... More

I have been to this restaurant twice now and the experience was great. The location is quaint and since it is near the Invalides, the neighbourhood is extremely nice. The wine was good and so as the service. You have to try the Poule au pot meal...

My fiance and I visited here in April 2015, and stopped here as a diversion from walking along the Seine. It is quite unassuming, with some tables indoors and outdoors. We took a while to be served, and moved inside so that we could catch the attention of the waiters, but when the food did come, it was generously portioned... More

We were just walking around and the menu was looking good, so decided to give it a try. I had cod and my husband boiled chicken, they were disappointingly tasteless! Nothing to write home about. Some staff spoke reasonable English. Found it fairly expensive compaired what the food was in the end.
