REED is not atypical Paris restaurant and your enjoyment of its exceptional charms will depend on your expectations going in. Reed had been very highly recommended to us by a friend and we were not disappointed. REED is very small (fewer that 20 seats) and at lunchtime serves as the venue for Chef-Owner Catherine Reed’s very popular hands-on cooking classes... More

Cooking classes available July & August. Food fantastic, but it is hard to find this restaurant, because there is no website. If you have a chance to go... totally worth it. To make a reservation, contact Catherine at : catherine.reed@wanadoo.fr

I starting planning my 50th birthday lunch in Paris in November 2013. As there are more than 13,000 restaurants in Paris there is a overwhelming choice that is bewildering. I thank my lucky stars that I stumbled upon Catherine's tiny and intimate restaurant. From the moment we started discussing the details of the event she was wonderful. We agreed a... More

My boyfriend and I were visiting Paris and did not make a lot of reservations. I had a few tripadvisor saves including Reed and when we wandered in one evening we learned that we needed to make reservations. The next afternoon we happened to stroll by and noticed the door was open and the owner was inside so we asked... More

From the moment you walk into the restaurant you are charmed by the owner/chef Catherine of Reed. The open concept kitchen is inviting and her hospitality is warm and personal. Our dining experience was exceptional and served at a leisurely pace so one can thoroughly enjoy the wonderful meal. We would return again in a heartbeat.

We lived in the 7th and found Catherine Reed's restaurant just around the corner. It had been recommended by the company we rented our apartment through. Though we are vegetarian and Catherine offers a small menu, we were quite happy with lovely puff pastry tomato tarts, baby artichoke salad & a mushroom risotto. In that Catherine does everything herself and... More

Fun, personable, and informative...best way to describe Catherine Reed of Reed restaurant. She makes cooking in Paris look easy, but leaves no stone unturned when it comes to details and fresh ingredients!

Reed was the best place to celebrate our last meal in Paris with friends. Canadian born Catherine Reed runs the whole show so it is like being in her home - she is personable and engaging, guiding us in picking the perfect wine to compliment our choices of beef bourguignon, tomato tartlet, steamed baby artichokes, and the best tarte tatin... We showed up right at the opening time on a Friday night and got a table without a reservation. The overall meal was around 115 euros with a bottle of wine and it was well worth it. The chef (and host) was very polite and spoke fluent english. I would definitely return. It felt a little like being in a... More

This place is unusual - small, boutique style and very intimate. It is not your average place. Catherine Reed ' s menu is carefully chosen from available ingredients and equally carefully cooked for you in her kitchen. The flavours are perfect combinations making a meal which is essentially home cooked altogether delicious and bursting with flavour. We ate here on... More
