We stumbled upon Reed while walking to breakfast one morning and saw a sign in the window announcing cooking classes and while we weren't originally planning to take a class while in Paris, we contacted the restaurant to inquire about a dinner reservation. As with many places in Paris this time of year, the owner was on holiday, but called... More

We love unusual places like this where you can really experience the culture and food of Paris. Although the evening went smoothly and the hostess/server/chef was charming, our food was just ok. The tomato tart was visually pretty and was the best part of the meal. My sauteed chicken with fresh morels and my husband's beef bourguignon suffered from the... More

My wife and I decided to first partake in Ms. Reed's cooking class on Sunday morning. We had a very enjoyable time learning how to prepare Sea Salt Encrusted Chicken, Asparagus and Strawberry Shortcake. The lunch was so good that we returned a few nights later for dinner. Ms. Reed is not only a talented Chef, but an extremely personable... More

The restaurant was small and menu limited to 4-5 choices and wine list small but good. Just what we were looking for in Paris. Easy walk from our accommodation. You must make a booking and open for dinner Thursday through Saturday. In addition Reed runs cooking lessons. Catherine Reed does the lot. Welcome, wait tables, chef and owner. Service was... More

Not much to add to others reviews: I took a chance and wandered by at 21:00 on a Saturday, and was lucky to find a table available. By that stage, the choice from the menu was reduced a little, but it didn't matter. I couldn't decide between the asparagus soup (outstanding) and the tomato tartine (exceptional) entrees, so had both.... More

I had read some reviews about Reed and thought we should try it on our last night in Paris. Best meal in Paris!!! Hands down. The owner/chef/server is Katherine (?) and you should all try it. Just not all at once because she only has a few tables. But, she will blow you away. She does it all with just... More

On entering, you immediately feel that you have come into a family kitchen and dining room. If you have a chair facing the kitchen, you have the pleasure of watching Catherine, the owner and Chef, preparing the meals of those who had arrived earlier. You wonder how all the attentions required in a high cuisine bistro can possibly be done... More

Love everything about this place from ambiance to food. My friends and I found this place on yelp and placed a reservation. Upon entering, we were greeted and seated by Catherine. She's a one woman army. She's a hostess, waitress, server, and chef. The ambiance gave off a cozy, relaxing, and a at home kind of feeling. There are about... More

Make a reservation as we barely got in and it would have been a huge loss. We only got a table as someone was very late. Remember, this is a one woman show so she is very concerned with the right timing of each seating and rightfully so. A table showed up 40 minutes late and you could see the... More

My sister and I took Catherine's cooking class last Wednesday. Catherine is a patient and informative teacher. She is warm and personable. We shared many laughs together as we shared stories and cooked a wonderful meal together. It was like cooking with a good friend. I am an enthusiastic home cook (grew up on Julia Child) so it was fun... More
