For five years + this has been my go-to romantic splurge restaurant. I think this was my last visit for a while. The space is still lovely, but the food, while still good, seems a bit stingy, and the service is WAY off. No one was rude, but we were pressed to order quickly. Starters and entrees arrived so quickly... More

I wanted a decently priced (meaning it would be expensive, but not INSANE - this is Paris after all) restaurant with old Parisian charm - the atmosphere was important to me, and I feel like I got it - old world charm in the decor, and locals seemingly everywhere. Had a friend fluent in French make my reservation, which I... More

My wife and I had a very good French dinner in this beautiful restaurant next to one of the famous bistrot streets in Paris. We shared a terrific Terrine de Foie Gras. My wife had a squid dish with a Parma ham sauce that was somewhat stingy with the ham, but was, nevertheless very good. I had a pork chop... More

I have Been eating at Chardenoux for 6 years. C'est mon restaurant du coin. I love it of course! I cannot fault the kitchen, fresh, dynamique, creative and classique. The old style bistrot is at ones intimate and charming. However, lately the new chef de salle as Been ruining my expérience. In short i'm not made to feel welcome. As we would say in... More

Just had the most delightful and delicious meal at Le Chardenoux having been recommended by our wonderful host at the Grand Hotel Français. The food was terrific, the service very good under difficult circumstances - it was extremely busy. This is a fabulous French bistro in the 11th arrondissement. It is well located, comfortably furnished - sitting outside is particularly... More

Stumbled upon this place without knowing its ties to Chef Lignac or its historical value, and was blown away just by the quality of the food for the relatively cheap price. Our lunch menu, a three-course meal, was a mere 22euro each, and included a rather hefty sized bowl of gorgeous mussles. We loved the area and resturant so much... More

Beautiful restaurant with wonderful food. It's very popular and so make sure you reserve. One of the best meals we had in Paris.

Fabulous decor, unchanged since before the war and a beautiful painted ceiling. Food very good, more refined than Paul Bert (which is opposite, see our other review), somehow though just not as good and atmosphere a little lacking despite it being a Friday evening. Saying that the food was very good and very well cooked...mash with my chicken sublime and... More

OK the hamburger was tasty but guys - the hamburger is not "une spécialité de la cuisine française". don't pretend it is "haute cuisine" and don't give me a knife. and please just because i happen to have a yankee accent (even though i am not a yank) don't serve me in under 10 minutes and then stare at me...
