Romantic evening in Paris

This was wonderful in all departments. Service was excellent, not too much, not too little. The food was superb. A standout was the remarkable red pepper dish, served in a sort of sushi-like roll made from finely cut zucchini.

The restaurant was excellent. It provided the best meal we had in Paris. In all aspects it was terrific. The combination of flavors and presentation, as well as the staff were really first rate.

I have visited a few michelin star quality restaurantes. When I take the whole menue with wines then I think it is the whole package and the vine experts along with the chef chooses the best vine for each course but in this restaurante it was not like that. I also whant the chef to deliver the food exectly like... More

Lunch at Cobea was easily the best meal we had during a week in Paris. The staff turned the lunch into a performance, one in which the food was equal to the savoir faire shown by the wait staff. The parts of the meal that linger most clearly are the amenities like the citron ginger sorbet, the cookies, and the... More

We visited this decent restaurant on our 2nd day in Paris and they didn't disappointed us. The service was smooth and impeccable. The staff is well trained. You can choose the material without knowing the way it will be cooked, however, you'll be surprised at the outcome. Well, as a Japanese, I'd say their Dashi soup was not my favorite,... More

This restaurant is something really special. The food is nothing short of excellent - flavour, presentation, delicacy - but it's the total experience that sets it apart. The food is inventive without pretension, the service attentive without intrusion, and I felt an air of excitement as I shared their obvious joy at my enjoyment of what for Cobéa is intentional:... The service is outstanding. The menu is prix fixe with three choices -- four courses, six courses or eight courses. We chose the six courses and were delighted with the nouvelle cuisine ideas of the chef. Several foams (the zucchini and the caviar foams were our favorite -- especially the caviar). Unless you know exactly what wine you want, you might... More

This is one of the top 10 meals I have ever eaten in my life, maybe even top 5. My wife and I went for lunch and found the food to be inventive and delicious. A couple of the dishes were unbelievably good. There was only one dish that we both found to be just okay. The two or three... More

We visited Paris and decided to try a few good restaurants. What an experience, excellent, food, service and atmosphere. Just can't complement the chef and the staff enough. Would go back again in a heartbeat.

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighborhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.
