What to say. Excellent experience. From the swift, efficient and polite responsiveness via email when booking this experience was everything I expected and more. Jerome, one of the owners was the man handling the booking. Cobea is fine dining without the stuffy pretentiousness that can take the edge of a lovely evening. Relaxed, pleasant and great service from the moment... More

This really was a gastronomic highlight for my wife and I, but in a modern, non-stuffy setting. We had the 8-course tasting menu with the recommended accompanying wines (you get a lot of wine.. ..we were pretty giddy by the end of the meal) It was filled with fantastic modern interpretations of classic cuisine. Wonderfully cooked, unusual yet successful combinations... More

We visited for a birthday lunch. By far the best restaurant experience I've had in a Michelin star restaurant. We had the tasting menu which got better with every course. Service was excellent from the young waiter and waitress. The restaurant was intimate and the decor and tablewear absolutely gorgeous. We were blown away.

This was my first meal at a Michelin Star restaurant in Paris so my expectations were high. And I wasn't disappointed. The service is excellent and the food sublime. You have a choice of 4, 6 or 8 tasting courses along with optional wine pairings (recommended). We enjoyed the full 8 course option and wine pairings. We started with White... More

It is the second time we went to Cobea and everything was perfect again - the food, the service, the ambience. Among the menu choices, we opted for a three course meal (white asparagus, haddock and duck) and gourmandises (and some extra amuse-bouches). Considering that is a Michelin starred restaurant (Philippe Belissant, former starred chef at Le Restaurant de L'Hotel)... More

We booked a table online for our first night in Paris (would definitely recommend booking as it was full the night we were there). We were not disappointed. The staff, food and ambience were all excellent. The menu offers either 4,6 or 8 courses. We opted for 6 courses and along with the little extras thrown in by the restaurant,... More

This review is a little tainted as the day after we went to L'Atelier in Paris which was truly magnificent. Cobea was great though. Not as pricey, very reasonable in fact. We had the taster menu and matching wine for around £250 which included a truffle supplement. The staff were wonderfully friendly and translated what we couldn't understand into English... More

Fiance booked this place as a special treat. We got the 100 euro per person degustation. For a Michelin star restaurant, that is a bargain! Total bill was like 225 euros.... like I said it's a splurge but totally worth it. Let's see, we had delicious scallops, gnocchi, pigeon (first time eating pigeon. Sorry my friend you are one tasty... More

I was invited to dinner at this one Michelin starred restaurant by an older Parisian couple who made a reservation for 7.15 pm. I arrived there at 7.05 pm and thought I could wait for my friends whilst having a glass of wine at the bar or outside. They wouldn't let me in as I was 10 minutes early! Yes,... More

We went for a business lunch and the place although off the beaten track, was full. The egg dish, amuses-bouche, and cannette were all terrific. Although the portions are not large, I was quite stuffed when I left. Really worth going back to.

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighborhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.
