Our best french breakfast in Paris!

The setting ... The efficient waitress ... The reasonably priced breakfast formula... A great cafe creme for me, real hot chocolate for my girls, fresh squeezed OJ and shots of water... Perfect and we loved it!!!

Our first night in Paris we wandered in for dinner at about 9 pm and were seated immediately. The food is very good (so much so we came back for breakfast on our last morning in Paris!) but the atmosphere is so Parisian - that's really what makes this place special. Warm summer evenings offer dining on the pedestrian only... More

I was recommended this cafe & thought I would check it out,on our first night in Paris, I came about it by pure chance after an evening stroll to Notre Dame. Typical quaint french cafe with friendly efficient staff that speak English if need be.We just needed something light as it was very late in the evening,so just opted for... More

Quick review: 11pm on a Sat night - not lots open - found the St Regis by chance. In the middle of a touristy area but their menu and food are not typical. I can really only comment on the few things we had which were superb. The steamed artichoke with vinaigrette was phenomenal; their burgers with carmelized onions, cheese,... More

A lovely cafe in a picturesque place. Friendly staff and, I'm told, one of the few cafes open Sunday morning. It wasn't too crowded and we had the perfect table. Kids enjoyed pancakes with Nutella and Adults lovely coffee. A perfect place to experience a taste of cafe Paris.

We had great food and the BEST service at this wonderful spot. We ate here twice during our week visit as we were staying around the corner. Once for dinner and once for breakfast. The escargot was the best we had. Be sure to check the specials list for dinner. Great breakfast, lunch or dinner on the Ile Saint-Louis!!

We stopped into this restaurant for a drink and liked it so much we ended up staying for dinner. It has a lovely interior with many windows to bring the street life in on a summer night in this great area. The atmosphere is truly exceptional, a lively, spacious and funky brasserie. The cocktails were excellent as was the escargot.... More

The service was excellent, they had English menus which was very helpful. The onion soup was to die for. We also had the Croque Monsieur which was super cheesy. Really enjoyed our meal and the drinks were great. Presented nicely and very strong. We enjoyed the onion soup so much we went back a few nights later for more onion... More

We ate here three times during our week-long visit to Paris. The ambiance is great at night. Great for people-watching during the day. Recommend eating outside if possible. For breakfast or lunch, I recommend the salmon eggs Benedict. English speaking staff, just like most of Paris these days.

Went in to have a drink and as we were waiting for my beer we were asked to leave because we didn't have a drink per person. Never heard such a thing before. They lost out on food and drink from us. Avoid at all costs

Staying in Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis

Neighborhood Profile
Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis
Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité, sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island, welcomes you with cozy traditional eateries, small boutiques, and what some people say is the best ice cream in the city. This is essential Paris from its very beginnings to its modern appeal.
