Friendly Service and Gourgeous Food

We had dinner here twice during the five days we were staying nearby at the Renaissance hotel. Once we were inside--- funky red velvet decor and very cozy. Once we were outside on the terrace--- equally nice, esp with the heaters. The menu is basic and limited, mainly French classics and comfort food. all the things we ordered were quality... More

Lovely French bistro with very delicious food and good, attentive service by what appeared to be the owner and his daughter. ..admittedly, the arrival of the Easter sun and a chilled blonde (beer) did play it's part

Restaurant was close to our hotel in Trocadero and had a very nice glasses in outdoor seating area on a corner location. Even though it was 45f degrees out at night it was still nice dining outside with heaters and cozy blankets for the more sensitive ones. ;). The menu was so diverse I was sure it was an American... This was where my husband and I had our first Paris dinner- and it was so great that we went back a couple nights later! The food and service are pretty great. Wait staff is extremely attentive. Everything was reasonably priced and the portions were good- if you're famished it's possible to get some really nice side portions to go... More

Very close to the Renaissance Food was very good and home cooked. I had the beef in red wine. Like a bed stew but much better. Floating island for desert was to die for. Merangie floating in custard. Very friendly. English menus.

One of the better places in paris. We just stopped for a cafe and a good glass of wine. Staff was very polite and helpfull. We like to come back to taste the food. It looks all good.

We stopped off here on the walk back to our hotel for a last glass of wine or two of the evening. It's got a lovely, warm atmosphere inside and while the wine list isn't cheap (is it anywhere in Paris?!) the bottle we did choose was very nice. The waiting staff were pleasant and attentive. If we had stayed... More

This restaurant was right in front of our hotel making it the preferred place for a quick dinner. It also looked better than the places around it. The interior was nice although a bit heavy with abundance or red and gold colors. Our waitress was a very friendly Russian woman who seemed very happy when listening to us talking. Bulgarian... First night in Paris and ask the hotel front desk for a family restaraunt and we were guided hear. Food seem pricey (could just be Paris) but was good. Had a selection of what one would think of as traditional French food. There were Parasians there but drinking only, so feel this might be a bit of a tourist type... More

Staying in Trocadero

Neighborhood Profile
Trocadero
This is the neighborhood of grand and impressive Haussmann-designed apartments and buildings. National museums overlook the Eiffel Tower and embassies fill the avenues and streets. Locals head to the butcher, florist, or bakery on their daily rounds amidst luxury and splendor, all with a view over Paris and its most famous tower. Snuggled in between the grand buildings are small art galleries and homes of historical significance. With a rich legacy from 19th century politics, art, and architecture, you can’t help but be reminded of the belle époque, the Universal Exhibitions and the nobility that have frequented and shaped these streets.
