Its hard to know what this place is from the street, is it a bar, cafe, restaurant? Actually is all of the above. It has great curb appeal, Pamela Pop branded awning and a funky old Mercedes, parked outside. We just had wine and coffee. A couple of glasses of Cote de Rhone and espresso... read more

The service was painfully slow, and the French staff were cold, distant and inattentive. We were looked after by a lovely Italian waitress eventually, the only member of staff who was smiling at the customers. Allow at least two- two and half hours for dinner here. Portions were very measly and entree size, but to be fair, the food was... More

It stuns me to read reviews raving about large portions of food at this place. The atmosphere is lovely, the service was very good and the food tasted beautiful but don't go if you're expecting anything other than entrée-sized main courses. I can onky assume that the proprietors exlect everyone to buy at least 3 courses. I was hugely disappointed... More

We went here for dinner. The restaurant was very cozy and the food was very good, but it could not quite compensate for the poor service. She was sweet, but forgot to bring us one of the entrees, and two glasses of Wine that was ordered (we had to ask for them several times). She also came with two desserts... More

Loved it! I went there for a dinner with a friend: the place is well designed, dressy still being informal and cosy. Probably not the cheapest place but the price is in line with the average restaurant in Paris I would say and absolutely worth it! I tried the scallops which were delicious and the dessert (can't remember the name... More

We were staying in a small apartment next door and thought that we would treat ourselves for one nice date while we were in the city and I am so glad that we stumbled across Pamela Popo. The service was very very good, and we were able to muddle through with our elementary at best French as the staff were... More

A nicely designed place in a fancy neighborhood, squeezed between Les Marais and Seine river, with few tables outside, a very plesent ground floor and much more crowded and less nice first floor. We have been there for a brunch and it felt very short of expectations: first of all, out first order arrived some 45 to 60 mins after... More

Two key things to know if you fancy sunday brunch here: make sure you book ahead or you won't get in; and make sure you're hungry. The menu sounds a bit bland but the food is actually delicious and the portions are very generous. It's rightly popular in a quiet street in the south Marais away from the sunday crowds.... More

We ate brunch at this restaurant. It costs 29 € per person and you can eat 3 courses. You be served a glas of freshly pressed orange juice and as much as you want coffee or hot chocolate, included in price! We are used to have brunch buffet, so we didn' t know from the beginning if it would be... More

Recommended by a family member this restaurant is amazing. Chic, trendy and full of life! Plus the food is to die for. Due to the popularity of the restaurant we booked about a week in advance for our evening meal. My girlfriend and I started by sharing the foie gras, which was an incredible generous portion. Following on, for our... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
