Pretty good

The location is great, the style is cute, the service pretty good and 50% of the meal was excellent. My dish was quite Bland but my wife's was excellent. Probably worth another visit to verify.

Found by accident because of a sudden rain shower. Bless that rain. Went in for a drink to escape the shower and ended up staying till the small hours. On the recommendation of the barman who we joked must be bias when we asked if the food was good my friend and I had a most wonderful meal. Crab mousse... More

We loved our lunch at Pamela Popo!! Our waiter was soo nice!! I had the fish which was so tasty and beautifully presented. My 2 girls (16 year olds) had the steak with delicious au gratin potatoes .. Spiced just right! The restaurant wasn't busy due to construction in the area so our waiter was able to chat with us.... More

just a brief mention of this place. We called here one very hot day in Paris, and sat at one of the tables outside on the pavement. We decided on cocktails as it was our last night in Paris before heading of to Milan the following morning. The service was great and so were the nibbles provided but the best... More

Great menu, the service was great and the restaurant was mostly filled with locals. Make sure you have dessert as well.

We received a very warm welcome. The food was great and the service was good as well. The main dish was excellent and you should really not miss the dessert. Spoiler alarm: The name is coming from a song of Serge Gainsbourg.

Its hard to know what this place is from the street, is it a bar, cafe, restaurant? Actually is all of the above. It has great curb appeal, Pamela Pop branded awning and a funky old Mercedes, parked outside. We just had wine and coffee. A couple of glasses of Cote de Rhone and espresso. All served in great glassware.... More

The service was painfully slow, and the French staff were cold, distant and inattentive. We were looked after by a lovely Italian waitress eventually, the only member of staff who was smiling at the customers. Allow at least two- two and half hours for dinner here. Portions were very measly and entree size, but to be fair, the food was... More

It stuns me to read reviews raving about large portions of food at this place. The atmosphere is lovely, the service was very good and the food tasted beautiful but don't go if you're expecting anything other than entrée-sized main courses. I can onky assume that the proprietors exlect everyone to buy at least 3 courses. I was hugely disappointed... More

We went here for dinner. The restaurant was very cozy and the food was very good, but it could not quite compensate for the poor service. She was sweet, but forgot to bring us one of the entrees, and two glasses of Wine that was ordered (we had to ask for them several times). She also came with two desserts... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
