This Oscar Restaurant is located on rue des Pyramides. I cannot say enough good things about our dining experience here. We chose it because it seemed to have good ambience, and we're pleased from the time we set foot in the door. The food was excellent. We were treated as welcome guests. The menu was varied enough to appeal to... More

This place has the best local bistro fare in the entire 8th Arondisment. It is a neighborhood joint. The food is varied, well prepared and the service is very personal. The chef came to talk to us to ACTUALLY taste different things that is is considering putting on the menu. I travel a lot for work and can safely say... More

We happened by accident on this restaurant, when it was raining. If I had read the menu before we went in, I would have realised it was Italian and not bothered. I can eat Italian in Rome. However, we were very pleasantly surprised at the authenticity of the food. Italian restaurants vary a great deal and often when they travel... More

A great little Italian spot located not too far from the Louvre this was a recommendation by our hotel. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal of grilled artichokes with slices of parmesan, and our excellent pasta main courses, a wonderfully simple oil & garlic preparation (aglio), a creamless carbonaro with lots of pancetta and a savory and hearty tomato based sauce. Service... More

After spending the day at Versailles it rained in the evening and I was too exhausted to go anywhere except downstairs next to my hotel. Oscars was perfect and what I needed. A great Italian fusion restaurant. I had a glass of champagne compliments of the restaurant, fresh mozzarella to start and has the gnocchi for dinner which was absolutely... More

Lets just say this was the best ways to end our vacation in Paris. The owner/operator was a great host, and helped us decide on what was probably one of the best pasta dishes we ever had. I had the home made Gnocchi's, and make no doubt about it, they were home made! I ate the whole thing, and I... More

The location is fantastic, on rue des Pyramides, on a little cobblestoned corner next to Eglise Saint Roch, a stone's throw from Ave de l'Opera. We were a party of six and had a wonderful dinner! From the moment you enter the restaurant, you are greeted and welcome as a celebrity. Depending on your level of interaction, the staff will... More

Second visit and both times service has been appalling. Understaffed and overwhelmed. A pity as it's a good location on a sunny day and the food is reasonable.

Dominique's restaurant was next door to our hotel, Hotel Lumen. We went there to eat on our first night, and had such a great meal, a great time, and even better conversation with the owner after closing. On that first night, we asked for a specific brand of vodka that we drink here in the states, and he didn't have... More

After a day of walking the Louvre, you can count on an excellent meal with great service. My husband had the carbonara which was traditionally prepared and I had the gnocchi with smoked mozzarella. We actually started by splitting a grande salad of Parme, mozarella and melon. The mozarella was very high quality. I recommend the Valpolicella Clasico. We never... More
