Delicious and fun

All our dishes were savory and fresh, you can tell they choose the ingredients carefully. Reasonably priced. We had a vegan with us and they went out of their way to accommodate. Friendly staff.

We turned up here on a Saturday night without reservations, but we're happily accommodated on a shared table. The food was delicious, the atmosphere fun and friendly, and the staff were very patient with our language limitations. Highly recommended!

I went to Bistrot des Campagnes a few weeks ago with two friends. We all had the risotto to start, which was definitely the best part of the meal. I had the chicken and pasta as my main course. The pasta was fresh and delicious. The chicken was ok, but it was a little dry. The service was good and... More

I ate twice at Bistrot des Campagnes, while attending a conference in Paris, and while I have eaten out in Paris many times, this bistro was superb in its service & the quality of its food. It is true bistro food--simple but beautifully flavoured and with a thoughtfulness of presentation and quality of ingredients that makes it truly outstanding. The... More

I have eaten at Bistrot des Campagnes several times and each time it is consistently delicious, and dare I say better than the last time! The staff is friendly and helpful, always eager to explain dishes in either French or English. The menus are well-priced for the quality of the food. The starters always change to feature seasonal ingredient. For... More

Fun restaurant with GREAT service and atmosphere. Helped explain only French menu to non French speakers and enjoyed doing it. Came without a reservation and had no problem getting a table. Food was amazing. Would recommend the foie gras and duck confit.

We enjoyed a very nice evening at Le Bistrot des Campagnes. We opted for the 25 euro starter of white asparagus followed by main of veal and duck respectively. Bothe were very well prepared and perhaps more than plentiful as neither of us finished our portions. The potato galette served with my duck was wonderful and very very rich. The... More

Le Bistrot des Campagnes is one of a half-dozen smart and classy little bistrots off Montparnasse boulevard. The clientele our day there was all French, like the folks who brought us there. We entered--with reservations--at 1 pm on a Wednesday and every seat was taken. Small, with ten or twelve tables, the Bistrot is tightly arranged but everyone fits and... More

A lovely little bistro, the ambiance was relaxing, the waitresses were excellent (helping me out with my bits and pieces french). The food is simple fare but full of flavour, my husband had the poulet, I had the Cote de boeuf and we each ooh'd and aah'd over the others dish and decided scrumptious best description. The lovely waitress also... More
