Great pizza, great service and a warm lovely environment

if you're needing a break from your fill of French food, this is the place. A casual cafe, warm and inviting with a lovely Italian menu with something for everyone. This little street restaurant served everyone's favorite dish of our trip. We couldn't believe the freshness of the seafood. Unfortunately we didn't have room for dessert so I can't recommend that. Also, I'd love to sit on the street side of the restaurant because the area has great people watching.

La Divinia Commedia is a nice Italian Cafe in Ste. Germain on rue de Dragon. It is one of several cafes along the street, which is said to have some of the oldest homes in Paris. We were able to book on line before our trip began, which we liked. We had a very pleasant meal in this attractive cafe.... More

The ladies in my family loved this romantic Italian restaurant in Saint Germain. It has an authentic neighborhood feel and the fish dishes were perhaps the best we had in Paris. We were there early but I would love to see it after dark.

The only positive was a pretty decor. Otherwise, bland and tasteless food, nothing particularly Italian except for the names on the menu, overcooked pasta, unidentifiable ingredients in sauces. It also took forever to arrive. The couple of waiters were unprofessional and overworked, though pleasant.

We had just moved into an apartment on the border of the 6th and 7th and went looking for a local Picard to buy some of their great frozen food. It was located just off the Blvd. Saint Germain on Rue du Dragon. Much to our surprise there were a number of Italian restaurants on that street. The young woman,... More

Even though we have been to Paris a number of times, and Paris most certainly has our hearts, our taste buds are in Italy. Our server, a lovely, friendly young woman from Sicily was very happy to work with our limited French and Italian. She made us feel very welcome which always sets a good tone. There were a number... We visited here with my wife. Seafood pasta was amazing delicious. Also four cheese pizza was perfect. We were at Rome only three weeks ago. I must confess this dinner was better than all. I strongly recommend this restaurant to everybody. You will be pleased.

It was time to change it up and this small room on a quiet restaurant street delivered. The venue is white tablecloth Italian. The wine list is Italian too. We were four and all were very pleased with the service (Pascal?) and the food.

Although it was our last night in Paris, my daughter wanted Italian, and La Divina Commedia is located on a quiet street of the Rue St. Germain, not far from our hotel. I had the carpaccio, which was excellent, and although it was not on the menu, the staff prepared a green salad for my daughter. I had ravioli with... More

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
