Wonderful small restaurant on quiet street in busy part of town!

Restaurant Clementine is a total find. Recommended by Parisian friends, they welcomed us for lunch last week and served our group of 7 with charm and professionalism. The menu is a steal at 26 euros - highlights for me were the croustillant d'aubergine, dorade and dark chocolate cake. We took their... read more

I'd heard about Clementine for a few years, but this was my first opportunity to be in Paris, at lunchtime, on a week day. In a word: "joy". It is tiny, but full of light (on a beautiful April day) and you don't feel at all cramped. The other diners were a couple with a tiny baby, two businessmen, an... More

Completely unplanned but on the recommendation of a Parisian friend we decided to go here rather than some main stream restaurant and we were really happy that we did. Very simple but very French so that means good ingredients well cooked with little messing about. Service was friendly and efficient. Simple small menu which is often a good sign particularly... A friend of mine booked a table for three of us at this very French restaurant. I ordered poached eggs with bacon floating in red wine source as starter, canard as main and a lemon tart to finish. It is certainly not a Michelin star restaurant but I liked the restaurant was tucked away from the main street (I would... More

I had a nice kir as apéro. The main dish was a superb canard. And the dessert was some kind of cake drowned in rum that was absolutely delicious. The place is very small and very charming. The service is very kind.

My husband and I ate at Clementine recently on the basis of reviews here at Trip Advisor and had a very pleasant meal. The food was all good but I would not say it was particularly notable. The maitre'd (owner?) was quite personable and happy to explain all the menu choices to us. Overall everything was warm, inviting, and authentically... More

What a perfect Parisian meal and experience. From the moment we walked through the door, it was fantastic. The food, the wine, the hostess/waitress, it was all a wonderful evening.

A great little bistro in the heart of the Opera district just a few blocks from the bourse. Great food, great service and a nice wine list. This is French food at it's best. Creative and yet not arrogant, bold flavors and creative pairings with an earthy accent.

This felt like the most "authentic" of all our meals out in our first week away in Paris. The restaurant was busy with locals, and the ambience, service and especially the food are very good reasons why! My starter was possibly the strangest starter I have ever eaten - poached eggs in red wine sauce with bacon and mushrooms, -... More

The food here was lovely. Although the place was a bit cramped and the tables felt a bit on top of each other it just added to the atmosphere of the place.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
