A truly French Experience

Picked this restaurant because of it's TA reviews. Booked online well in advance as I had read that you would likely be disappointed without reservation. Excellent communication from the restaurant. Went to find it the day we arrived and a good job too as it is off the beaten track( for those new to the city) I'd say roughly 5-10... More

My husband and I ate here on our most recent trip to Paris. The restaurant was recommended by one of my favorite posters on fodors.com. We made reservations a week or two in advance which was a good thing because they were completely full on the Tuesday night we dined there. The food was excellent - the best meal I've... More

A special experience here. This is a local restaurant that -thanks to Tripadvisor and similar - attracts hungry visitors from all over the world. You need to llok wel in order not to pass by it in this little street. It is very small, and the waiter does every possible offer to send home (or have come back later or... More

Main Duck two ways--filet of breast with a green peppercorn sauce... More

Went for dinner on a Saturday evening. Booked a week in advance. When we arrived loads of people were turned away due to being fully booked! Service is efficient and friendly. Food was lovely as was the wine. I can definitely recommend the duck for main and the delicious baked goats cheese for a starter. The only downside is the... More

We first ate here in 2012 and have never been able to return to dine when in the neighborhood because this popular restaurant was always totally booked. For my most recent Paris trip, I reserved a week in advance from the United States to ensure that we would have a table waiting for us and two French friends. I made... More

After reading the amazing reviews on tripadvisor i was very excited to try out this restaurant and was not disappointed at all! The restaurant is very tiny, so make sure you book, but very cosy. Our waiter was excellent and very welcoming but it was the food that was the most impressive. I had the two course meal and began... More

Evaluating this restaurant somebody has to consider how much spend (me and my wife €120 that included full menu (starter, main, dessert) plus a bottle of wine), the overall atmosphere (area for 20 guests, dining each one close to the other, small tables, really open kitchen - not only cooking but dish wash as well), a friendly waiter speaking well... It is an extremely small place so you are basically having dinner with your neighbours. The waiter was lovely and his English very good. They do try and up sell their wine but we had a lovely red for €22. Starters and mains were lovely but the deserts were awful and a waste of €8 each.

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
