My friend and I tried L'Ange 20 after seeing the great TripAdvisor reviews. I have been visiting Paris yearly for many years now and I currently live here and have had much better meals. My steak was incredibly fatty which was a disappointment considering the prices. Additionally, I was frustrated that the waiter refused to speak French to me despite... More

What an amazing but tiny restaurant (make reservations!!!). 10 Small tables crammed into the smallest restaurant you can think of, an open kitchen in a small backstreet. Not a place you'd normally choose. But, the reviews on tripadvisor were so promising that we gave it a try. And boy, did we love it! My girlfriend had an amazing squid salad... More

We booked ahead thank goodness because there was almost no chance punters turning up at the door we're going to get a seat in this tiny restaurant a couple of hundred metres from the entirely unattractive but 'useful as a landmark' Pompidou Centre, Only 20 seats but amazing service, beautiful food, and something to talk about when you head home... My wife and I went to L'Ange 20 a few nights ago, and they have killer food. We split the lamb and the ribeye steak for dinner, and thought it was divine. The space is a little tight, but we ended up talking to the couples sitting next to us and had a great time.

It probably doesn't deserve to be #12 on TA. It is definitely better than average, but I felt a 4 out of 5 was slightly high in a city with so many great choices. That said, the food was very good and we had a wonderful meal at a good price. I read the reviews and I would chime in... More

What a blessing to return to Paris for our fourth year and find L'Ange 20 still beyond compare. Chef Thierry is extraordinary and consistent in his preparation and quality. Never have had a disappointing meal. Guessing we have enjoyed more than 25 of his creations over the years. "Sweetie Pie," his sous chef, carries out his instructions and beyond. Christopher... How can I improve on the previous reviews? Food was excellent, service was great, price was perfect! Try the 7 hour lamb, to die for! Goat cheese in phyllo dough? Shrimp coated with angel hair pasta, steak cooked perfectly!, wine at a reasonable price. Just near the Beaubourg, Pompidou museum. You must make a reservation! Enjoy! P.S. Menu in English,... More

This restaurant is right around the corner from our apartment so we thought we would give it a try. The restaurant is small. It seats only 20 people, so make sure you have a reservation. The kitchen is at the back of the room and you can watch the chefs cook and see the pride they take in their food.... More

It's been said before but this place is so small you almost feel like you're dining at a communal table. Initially a little scary, but by the end of the meal we were chatting and sharing stories like long lost friends with our neighbours from Oz and the USA. The food was absolutely delightful. The service and upselling of drinks... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
