Good Argentine wine and meat

Good meat, excelent starters. The malbec was to die for. Service is too relaxed, although friendly. Not the best not the worst argentine restaurant. If back in Paris we would consider it. Neighbourhood is also great for some after dinner walk!

The meat is good in this place, but not extraordinary. The service though is terrible. After 1h45mins and 3 courses, the waiter gave us the bill without us asking for it. Then he started "suggesting" we should go soon because other people are waiting. Then after a few minutes another person came again to suggest we need to leave.. Unacceptable... More

Situated just off the Place de la Bastille, I was bit surprised when a Parisian friend suggested we eat in an Argentinian restaurant but have been converted. The setting, especially down stairs in the vault area, was beautifully rustic. A good sign was that the majority of diners were local Parisiens. The meat was mouth watering and was cooked to... My wife and I both said this was one of the best meals we had ever eaten. We had the assiette which I would go for again but just having the filet would be no hardship!

You come to Santa Carne for one reason: beef from Argentina. And in that respect the restaurant lives up to its name. Tender and tasty grilled beaf is what you'll get. Eat it rare because that's how the beef will deliver all of its flavors. Try the chicken and beef homemade empenadas, they are delicious as a starter with the... More

My mouth is watering just thinking about Santa Carne, I would move to Paris for this restaurant alone, the steak, the wine, those sauces - just beautiful! Plenty of locals eating there. Highly recommend!

I went for a dinner without reservation, so the waiter made space for us, very kind. However the waiting time before ordering and for service was about to not be acceptable. Too long! However food is amazing, soft tender steak make this place my favorite Argentine restaurant in Marais. Also wine list contains excellent wines. I suggest it if you... More

I can highly recommend this restaurant. The steake was excellent and so was the service. The cooking of the steak was superb and the side dishes, potatoe, vegable and sauce (all 3 of them) was greate. Best steak-restaurant in Paris!

Paris and steaks - Who thought. Let's start with the service. What can I say. It was great. The server Aurelio took care of us. Word of advice: grab the seating in the basement if you want cosy and quiet. The starters were the Empanadas and Mollejas and grilled blood sausage. A nice way to start. The Mollejas were tender... Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
