Fantastic food and service!

We had a great experience here. The food is very delicate, creative, and beautifully presented. Excelent service. Ambience in the japanese style section dowstairs is excellent, much better than in the top floor, Higly recommended!!

Here in Sola, though only a little touch from Asia is presented, I promise this little touch reveals the very essence of Japanese haute cuisine. I love how chef Hiroki makes a combination of sophisticated meat and fresh veggies: when eating that hake fish with Japanese sour source and carrot mash, I literally shout out in my head “this is... The food, service & ambience here was fantastic. I had quite a few food restrictions but they accomodated every request without any issues. Our waitress (a South American girl) was exceptional - super friendly, but still professional. Just beware that it's quite expensive & I'm still undecided if the food quality justifies the price tag...

The venue, the service and the food were elegant & superb.Japanese chef offers dishes based on what he found in the market: several courses of amuses bouches, fish dishes and a meat course, followed by TWo desserts - all with flavours and ingredients that flow into each other but also surprise deliciously.

Sola is an impressive restaurant sits in the middle of Paris and need to make reservation months ahead in order to go. Restaurant as such makes it exciting when the day of your reservation finally arrives. And without disappointment, this is one of the must visit restaurant when you are in Paris. The creative team is lead by Chef Hiroki... More

This place is amazing. It starts already with the seating arrangements. If you are to be seated downstairs you would have to wear some spacial 'chaussons' then you are directed to the tables that are nicely built into the floor (still with some legroom:)). There are only two menu options : 6 or 8 dishes. Less is definitely more here.... More

Minimalist and modern decoration with Japanese atmosphere, good asting menu with some hits and misses but overall good. The dimsum soup with foie gras was excellent, the pork was the best I ever had. Can't really remember the rest. Very good service but toilets were not very clean (must be a Parisian thing). Overall a pleasant dinner with some strong... More

you do not come here to eat. you come here to be entertained. how do you describe french-nippon fixed menu cuisine? each course was presented with such aplomb (i lost count after 8 courses). you must savour each course differently for each one forces your taste buds to dance. portions are small but there are so many you will leave... We were a group of 5. We ordered the smaller tasting menu. It's French-Japanese fusion. No regrets even though we had to search for the location with the help of map. Everything was good, from the food to the service. I recommend this. They definitely deserve their Michelin rating. Thumbs up! Reservations is a must as dining tables are very... More

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
