wonderful lunch with attentive service

This was food cooked, presented and served with care We had the lunch menu- no choices, but modification to cater for my allergy without any problems. We had a bottle of Sancerre and really enjoyed our meal, which represented good value for Paris (around 165 EUR for 2)

We had the fixed lunch menu. Simply wonderful from the first bite of the amuse bouche all the way to the dessert. Inspired infused food with layer upon layer of nuances that his the mouth first then make their way to the olfactory senses. Sublime!

The website for this restaurant doesn't do justice to the incredible dining room downstairs (ask for table downstairs to get the full effect). You take off your shoes and are given slippers. I was wary I might have to contort myself into a cross legged position but it's very smartly done (you'll see!). Service was perfect, and food was exquisite.... More

Our second visit to Sola was as good as the first time. It is always nice to be surprised in a positive way and this chef knows how to do that. You never know what the menu will be and in this case it's not a bad thing. I never knew that a dish, composed of only vegetables, could be... More

This restaurant marries two cuisines I love: Japanese and French. Everything is done to an impeccable standard; there's not one herb out of place or one piece of fish or meat overdone. It's perfect. Tuck yourself in to a long meal off of the tasting menu-- you'll be taken on a culinary journey through farmland and ocean, every dish marked... More

We had the lunch menu and it was superb! One of the dishes was mainly composed of vegetables, but it was flavourful nonetheless; it's amazing how good these people are at making the best of every ingredient. And on top of that the setting is unbeatable. Can't wait to go back to Paris and try the long menu!

Sola offers a sensual experience of complex yet simple flavors, layering both direct and delicate combinations as one moves through a series of offerings in their prix fixe menu. It is very elevated French cuisine, woven with Japanese tastes, stimulating with boldness in one moment, and seducing with ethereal lightness in the next. Food from the sea is most central,... More

Great food, great cosy atmosphere at the beginning ... until our noisy neighbours arrived, took off shoes and socks, imposed their rude conversation to the whole room ... I am sorry the personnel did not dare to ask these people not to be in bare feet, and to be less noisy... At the end we had a nighmare dinning experience.

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
