I was told that the menu was Japanese but with a more Paris modern take and that is what it was. The food was excellent and the dining experience was perfect. Well worth a visit if you line Japanese food but would like to try more creative menus but with the traditional ingredients. It's not cheap but definitely worth the... More

Originally found this restauratn on the Fork and immediately sold by photos of its dishes as well as the idea of a french-japanese fusion fine dining experience. I went there for lunch - it was easy to find and located very close to Notre Dame. Service and experience was brilliant the moment i sat down (downstairs at the Japanese area)... More

We had booked a table for four in the French room 'cause with my back I wouldn't have survived the Japanese room. That night there was no menu, the whole restaurant had to eat what the chef prepared. Luckily every course that was presented was as good as the previous so no problem there. The lady sommelier could have been... More

The food is gorgeous, labor intensive, delicious, inventive, and the service and decor are lovely too.

We arrived at the door five minutes early. Maitre d' (young Japanese male) told us that we were 10 minutes too early and to come back later. January in Paris with a bit of rain, we were very cold and unhappy. Food, on the other hand was just GREAT.

I doubt Sola means hidden little gem, however I am not certain what Yoshitake Hiroki was feeling when he named his wonderful restaurant. Perhaps he was feeling alone, or he really likes anime? Nevertheless the trust him menu is sublime. Japanese traditions manifested through French training produce creative translations on the plate. Is it French or is it Japanese...... thats... More

Its located not far from the notre-dame cathedral, the interior was quite nice & warm.. downstairs they have some table with a japanese style seating (no chairs) with a stone ceiling just like in the cave... very neat. The waiters were nice & friendly. There are 3 of us so 3 of... More

You must try this Japanese French fusion restaurant if you want to try something new and exciting. The flavours are exquisite. Very contemporary. Dine in the Japanese restaurant in sunken tables remove shoes and enjoy. From 2 Chefs that wouldn't go to the same place twice this is an exception. i would cross the channel just to go here for...
