General: If you happen to be in the Bastille/St. Louis area, and want an over the top good and inexpensive dinner/lunch, this is worth finding on Henri IV. Good luck finding a better E20 meal in Paris. Food: Very simple menu and typical dishes of a small French restaurant, plus specials. Everything was made on premise and demonstrated a passion... More

Stumbled on this place by accident while walking around Bastille area. Glad we did, had a wonderfully satisfying meal with good wine and lovely ambience. Baked Camembert followed by pork and rice with a delicious sauce, and smoked salmon followed by fillet of beef with French fries. Really enjoyed it and half the price of what it would have cost... As our house guide recommended the chez Margot it turned out to be our first day diner restaurant. We had salads nicoisse and Rogons Au Veau. The food was good, the tab water was okay, the wine was good as well. Lot's a people sitting outside, less inside so we were a bit irritated about after being seated slightly ignored,... More

Simple roast camembert with honey and artichokes and cray fish started this experience. It was unique and very fine in its simplicity. We followed with a wonderful steak cooked perfectly and it melted in the mouth. We had fancied a cafe legios but it was not on the menu. It was made especially for us. We completed with coffee cognac... More

This restaurant was recommended to my wife and i so we were very excited to experience the French cuisine. The restaurant looked fine and the staff were friendly even though my French was limited. The meal arrived (posh fish and chips) and was obviously not cooked right as it was still frozen in the middle. They recooked it, goodness knows... More

After a 36 hour flight from Australia, and a full say od walking the streets, we found this resturant around the corner from out appartment. The resturant only had a handful of diners (though it was early in the evening and most others had none) but they were all french. We took that as a good sign. Staff were friendly... More

Go on a Friday or Saturday night and you'll barely be able to hear yourself think because of the guys playing cards and having boisterous fun, but that's part of the atmosphere of this place. Food is tasty, decent wine and efficient service. Lamb shanks a specialty.

The beef is good here... Cote de boeuf, l'onglet, even the cheeseburger. Everything else is also solid. The service staff is cool. They're efficient and friendly with a bit of a hip edge. I find myself coming back here again and again, about 2-3x a month. Also helpful that they seem to always be open and able to accommodate. It's... More

This was my first experience of a French restaurant and I was very pleased. I went with my dad. We got escargot for an entree, and pork chops and chicken for the main. All three meals were delicious and the price was reasonable (around 18-22 euro for each main). The best thing however though was the staff. They knew we... More
