Friendly Paris Bistro

The servers here are very friendly and the food is simple and cooked beautifully. I had a salad to start and then fish with a butter sauce and steamed vegetables to follow. The fish was perfectly cooked. I would be happy to come back next time I am in Paris.

Everything there is 30% more tahn other places. The fiid quality is just ok. But when the bill time is coming you will feel it. Service (waitress/waiter) are good and have to say it is warm and friendly. Much other places are better in term of French Cuisine and presentation/taste. If your hotel is around, take a cab and go... More

Great atmosphere friendly staff. Staff speaks English and they have menu in both French and English. I tried the petit plate which was a great value for price. Highly recommend warm potato salad and ad mushroom crem brûlée for appetizers, steak and fries as well as salmon and fennel for main meal. Dessert I tried the prune flan it was... More

Good thing we are leaving tomorrow, I think I've gained ten pounds in one week! For our last night we wanted to eat somewhere near the Siene river so we could catch a late city cruise. We happened upon this place as it was a bit off the main streets and thought it might be less touristy. I know we... More

The restaurant is just down the street from out hotel. It was quiet but doing a good business. The staff were friendly and efficient. We will definitely return.

We ate wonderful dishes at this bistro. We had the rabbit terrine and the pork sausage and pistachio salad, followed by pork spicy ribs and thyme and honey lamb shanks, it was absolutely delicious. We would probably say it was one of the nicest meals we have eaten in Paris. Wine choice was also good.

We dined here on the advice of nearby Science Po students and had a straightforward meal of salmon and lamb, starting with the mushroom creme brûlée and the squash soup. Service was friendly, but slow, and the food--while nearly as cheerful as the staff--seemed prepared in advance. Still, small as it is, we had a lovely conversation with fellow guests... More

Beautiful little restaurant right off st. Germain. Staff could not have been friendlier and food was delicious. Came without reservations and were easily accommodated. Would definitely go back.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
