We popped in to Au 35 as some restaurants close by had very long queues. Wow. What a find. Perhaps the best "Steak and Fries" I have ever had. Really nice service too.

We ate here because we had enjoyed a delicious dinner here on our last visit to Paris twelve years ago. Obviously, this place does not have the same owners or staff. It was filled with tourists, which is never a good sign. I did not order an entree and our young male server brought my main course along with my husband's... More

Dinner, April 29, 2014. A very mixed experience. The 2 young ladies managing the dining room were delightful and friendly, spoke decent English, but steered me (single diner) to the worst table in the house even thought the restaurant wasn't full (and didn't fill up). Salad not properly washed and had grit, but the chicken livers in the salad were... More

I worry because this spot is so frequently recommended online as a destination dining spot. We stay in the neighborhood and have passed it hundreds of times, and finally decided to try it last visit. It is well intended, but the same and much better food can be had in the area and certainly elsewhere in Paris. In our opinion,... More

Just down the street from our hotel in the charming 6th arrondisement, 35 rue Jacob is all about authentic and imaginative French cooking.. An easy stop for anyone staying nearby. Best to pop in and ask for a reservation in person since they are generally always booked.

We were recommended this place and booked. Quaint. Starters were very nice. We had the Warm herring salad, and crab salad. Starters were much better than the mains. I had duck and my husband had salmon - the duck was overcooked even though order was for medium. Peter's salmon was overcooked and sauce was not a teriyaki - he chose... More

Hi well we are a family of 3 from Australia travelling on this trip. We are staying for 12 nights near this restaurant and others in St Germain. We ate here first, have eaten out elsewhere since and hope to return here later this week before we depart. This isn't the flashiest restaurant in Paris, not the largest, not the... More

I should know better by now - we ate here on the strength of a rave review in the Rough Guide and were disappointed. It's really nothing special at all - far better food, service, value and ambience to be had in any one of dozens of restaurants in the 6eme. Food is what I would call plain, simple home... More

I enjoyed the bread, wine and pumpkin soup but nothing else (rabbit, chicken, cheese and bacon and chocolate fondant). I would not recommend this restaurant.
