e hostess welcomed us with a smile. The food was prepared with love, care, and the best ingredients. Just a perfect tiny and elegant room with an aura of good work done with delight and fine food offered without any attitude of preciousness. Quiet and charming surroundings. Late arrivals...

We got here late due to a late arrival at CDG. Small restaurant nice welcome, they suggested that we couldn't have a 3 course dinner due to arrival time 1015, that was fine we just wanted something nice and that's what we had , a nice salmon ravioli in a rich cheese sauce off of the specials menu... read more

I visited Au 35 after frantically thumbing through the 'rough guides' guide book in the middle of Paris and found this one the nearest. The restaurant is small, intimate and has a wonderful warm atmosphere. We arrived early and so had the benefit of the waiting staff's full attention; they were friendly, attentive and seemed to understand we were there... More

We had a terrific experience there last night (29/3/2015), so please ignore this until we leave Paris two weeks hence, because we plan to eat there often. The service was welcoming and warm throughout the meal. The choices were wide, with multiple 3 course menus (30Euros), broad a la carte selections, and in addition several special choices just for that... More

We were looking for someplace close to our great hotel because it was raining and we didn't want to go too far. I went on TripAdvisor and saw this restaurant was less than a block away. We were thrilled to find a cozy friendly place where the food and service was fabulous. The butternut soup with chestnuts was a meal... More

We weren't feeling the love for Paris, it was dull, grey and raining, our feet ached and we really felt the city too posh, proud and arrogant. Plus we'd struggled to find decent places to eat that didn't cost the earth yet provided good food. On our last night we stumbled on Au 35, close to where we were staying,... More

This was right across the street from my hotel. The staff was so friendly, as I was solo. The food was excellent. I loved the chevre cheese and beet cup!! I would recommend this highly!

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
