Above average coffee in Paris

Caféotheque serves above average coffee in Paris. The cafe itself is very interesting looking. I had a cappuccino and a slice of chocolate cake. Both were good, but of course, kind of expensive.

This is a coffee lover's paradise. Special blends, comfortable seating for hanging out and visiting. Great pain chocolat and croissants.

At cafeotheque, they take coffee very seriously without being precious about it. If you are a coffee-phile, I'm sure they will gladly share their love for arabica. But if you just want a relaxed coffee in a boho place, this is the place for you

Here we talk about Grand Crus, terroirs, fruit and floral notes, honey and spicy aromas, soil acidity and pluviometry. Here we turn up our noses at all types of blends, even if they are from the region. We are purists and proud of it. This is a coffe house. A house of stories..... Once upon a time, there was a... I heard many good reviews about this cafe, but it turned out to be a big disappointment. I stopped by for a quick espresso. When I walked in the door, no one was standing there, so I eventually flagged down a waitress who said that yes, I could have a coffee, but I would have to sit down. I waited... More

It's hard to find poor wine in Paris and it's just as hard to find good coffee. When I say hard, I mean it. I checked with TripAdvisor and identified the best coffee shops. But. I went to Coffee & Signs twice but they were closed even though they were supposed to be open and there was no sign. Went... More

I have been for years a huge fan of la cafeotheque, back from when it used to be called Soluna Cafe. I loved it and brought all my friends there. Even when I went to live in the US I always came back there when I had the opportunity to be in Paris. However, now that I'm back living in... More

It is such a wonderful place. It's worth a stop if you want to experience an amazing atmosphere, a friendly staff and of course a great coffee prepared according to your will (either drip or espresso). And the divine aroma of coffee in the cafe will cause that you fall in love with Paris even more.

We tried some different coffee in the french press and enjoyed it very much. The waiting for the service and the waiting for the coffee took more than 30 minutes and while i appreciate fresh coffee i think the french press takes 4 minutes to make, not 20+. The place is nice and easy to reach. If they improve the... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
