Lovely place in lovely city

It is such a wonderful place. It's worth a stop if you want to experience an amazing atmosphere, a friendly staff and of course a great coffee prepared according to your will (either drip or espresso). And the divine aroma of coffee in the cafe will cause that you fall in love with Paris even more.

We tried some different coffee in the french press and enjoyed it very much. The waiting for the service and the waiting for the coffee took more than 30 minutes and while i appreciate fresh coffee i think the french press takes 4 minutes to make, not 20+. The place is nice and easy to reach. If they improve the... More

I always search out good coffee spots in new cities, and La Cafeotheque was recommended as one of the best in Paris. It certainly lived up to the name, serving up top notch flat whites and espressos. The smell of coffee before you even enter the building is enough to know you're in the quality zone. An extra bonus was... More

Before you even sit down, you know the coffee here is going to be great, you can smell it from a mile away. Not only do they serve fantastic, strong coffee, but the hot chocolate here is one of the best I had in Paris! Only downside was that I ordered a slice of cake, but couldn't eat it due... More

Really enjoyed our Noisette coffees, which I would normally call a 'Piccolo' Quite expensive but then it is the middle of Paris right off the Isle St Louis on the North bank. Amazing to see the business has moved on from last year with two brand new Toper roasters now on site. Will be back again when next in Paris!

Like coffee, in Paris, check out Caféothèque, low key very cool decor, amazing range if beans, super friendly staff and awesome coffee range. Check out their tarte tatin or fig tarts if hunger strikes.

If you are looking for a good cup of coffee this is certainly a place to visit. It seems that a lot of Paris visitors have found the place and go there to enjoy the coffee. In Paris you can find coffee in most bistrots but the quality of the expresso varies considerably. At least here at La Cafetheque the... More

First good cappuccino in Paris.... Great coffee flavour.... Rather expensive for coffee euro 5 but paris charges a lot for very average coffee Would ask for the coffee to be hot as ours was very Luke warm but still nice flavour.

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
