we had a lovely lunch there- the place is very cute. we like the decoration and ambience. we had foie gras as starter, lobster for main (fantastic!!!), strawberry pie for dessert, and ended with a nice cup of coffee. wine selection is good too. the food is superb, price wise is very affordable. ( ~70 euro/ person- parisien standard, sorry)... More

We asked our concierge to recommend a local bistro within walking distance of our hotel having authentic French cuisine and a comfortable, informal setting. He immediate suggested Le Bistrot de l'Alycastre. The food was fabulous. Our server was gracious and informative and gladly guided us through the menu as well as suggesting a modestly priced, medium bodied red wine that... More

This is a small restaurant on Rue Clement, just a block off the Blvd. St. Germain in the heart of the Left Bank. Very friendly staff with a full-range menu representing meat, fish and vegetarian items. An excellent and complete wine list with a range of prices within each varietal and region offering a chance to decide your price point.... More

As a French person, I love to eat good food. This restaurant is a very good place if you want to eat good food with an authentic service. In addition, it is located in one of the best place of Paris. I will be back next time I will be in Paris.

The husband and wife team that run this gem of a restaurant offer a fresh take on French recipes combined with warm hospitality. I am truly perplexed at some of the complaints I have read in earlier posts. My wife, daughter and I arrived just a bit before closing for lunch and were graciously invited to stay as long as... I went there for a nice dinner with my wife looking for a French Bistrot of a local atmosphere. The restaurant had only 3 other tables occupied and the hostess/waitress seated us at the worst table looking at a wall, and right next to a velour drape, which made us feel claustrophobic. I ordered a sea bass, and I could... More

I very rarely give poor reviews. I have to in this instance because I don't want anyone else to waste 120 euros on indignant chefs and rude staff. I ordered a steak medium rare. A good portion of the steak was burned, like black and crusty all the way through. Fully one half of the steak was inedible. This dish... More
