Lovely setting, food was good but not great

Recommended by our hotel and popular on the night we were there. We were seated as we arrived and the host took our coats and umbrellas. We wanted seafood and they have 3 or 4 fish dishes. We were given complimentary appetisers of fresh bread basket and a creamy sauce, which were good. Our... read more

Ate at Le Dome tonight for our second last night in Paris and loved every minute. Couldn't get a booking until 9.30pm, but it was worth the wait. The restaurant is dim and moody, with fantastic photographs of amazing faces and a beautifully lit dome above. The staff were helpful, friendly, and able to speak English (and provide English menu).... More

Had a super meal there during our last trip. It was a last minute table very late at night but hey still accommodated us at 1030 pm. the ingredients were fresh - cooked to perfection (vegetables were tender & crunchy) presentation - superb - sommelier recommended super wines to match and dessert was sublime. It was an absolute treat for... More

My friends and I had a lovely lunch in this beautiful space. The food was well seasoned and beautifully presented. Also, I must mention the friendly, professional service. Everything was done with a smile. Delightful!

This restaurant is named for the main feature of its room, its large and impressive overhead dome in classical style, and "du Marais" distinguishes this restaurant from a Dome restaurant in the Montparnasse area of the city. The space was originally the auction room attached to a financial institution which since 1918 has been organized as the Crédit Municipal de... More

The decoration very nice - that's all. Service very slow and not interested in customer. After 20 min awaiting we statred to request menu as nobody proposed it to us. The awaiting time for meal very long. 3 of us ate beaf and we were all badly ill. The food was very average and apparently not fresh. Come to see... More

The restaurant is a dramatic space and worth visiting for that alone, but with the addition of good food, it is doubly worth it. Although the restaurant was full when we were there, we were almost unaware of the other diners because the sound level is so low compared with most restaurants. The mushroom pâté or whatever it was that... More

My wife chose this restaurant entirely based on it's appearance and display menu as we passed by one night. The restaurant building is very impressive with it's wonderful dome and tasteful decor. We were quickly seated at a small table just inside the door, the restaurant was about half full. We waited some time for a waiter to come with... More

We happened across this place and were every happy we did. Quirky interior with a lovely menu that was all perfectly presented and very tasty. We loved it and look forward to returning.

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
