Easy reservation despite my limited French, interesting atmosphere with large prints of sketchy looking people all around the room. The main dining area is indeed under a dome, nicely lit and atmospheric. Food moderately priced and of the usual Parisian fine quality. Nothing to complain about. Our French friends were pleased with the restaurant too.

I booked this for a friend's birthday weekend and we were a party of 24. A beautiful dome sits above your head with comfortable seating, a chosen set menu to aid what should be a clear winner for all of us? Well not really, as it takes an age to get served our set wines and clearly a head waiter... More

Great place, very good service, fine and delicious food. Very cool round historical restaurant. Wine card is very attractive. Not cheap but value for money!

Lovely decor, great service, magnificent menu, super wine list. A memorable meal. Recommended dishes - crispy chicken salad starter, steak and fish mains and chocolate bomb for dessert. Only letdown was sommelier's choice of a dessert wine - not a traditional sweet wine but a German ( can't spell it) wine more suited to a main course.

Lovely place to have diner with business people. Food is tasty, although the proportions can be a little bit bigger. The surrounding of the restaurant is also nice to visit for a romantic occasion.

My daughter had noticed this restaurant while in her semester in Paris and wanted to try it. Beautiful ambiance with a 3 story high dome ceiling in the formal dining room (there is also a less formal garden room). The food was very good - excellent sea bream, moist chicken, a tasty mushroom pizza appetizer (enough for 3 people -really... More

The decoration and the atmosphere of this restaurant are amazing! I was really charmed from the interior of the building. The food was delicious and of sufficient quantity! It is expensive, but it absolutely worths it! I was surprised because the staff was not snob as in all these "chic" places in Paris, they were polite and quite friendly.

Walked in to the restaurant and got a table in the garden section. Maybe not as fancy as the "Dome" but the ambiance was nice expeciallt when the sun set and it got a little darker (the garden had a glass roof). Staff nice and so the food. Plates were of good size. The only actual bad thing was the... More

This restaurant was very highly recommended by friends who have been there several times. The setting is gorgeous - there is a garden-like covered patio and an elegant formal dining room under, well, a dome. The food is above average Parisian and has a varied selection that should satisfy most preferences. We had, among others, truffled pizza with fontina, foie... More

We read the reviews and the website about the beautiful dome and setting but we were only offered a table in the courtyard. Comfortable and quiet, but we wanted the inner dining room. The waitress spoke zero english. We had questions but she couldnt answer a one and never offered to find us someone who spoke English. My mother was... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
