Beautiful place

I was told that it used to be a church. The dome ceiling is magnificent. Interior decoration is elegant. Sufficient space between tables. Advance booking is needed especially during the fashion week. Many fashionable people, buyers around the world are always dined there. Service is just so so... read more

The Dome is a special location; just walking in feels like you've stumbled across some hidden gem; some secret spot. The service was excellent and welcoming. The food was great and plenty of wine choices that didn't break the bank. And oddly enough, my friend and I realized our check was only a few Euros more than eating at some... More

We booked this restaurant after friends recommended it to us. We were looking forward to celebrating my wife's birthday with ou whole family. They confirmed a party of 5 for Saturday night May 31st. Then on the 29th they sent me an email canceling it, eventhough they re-confirmed it a week earlier. I guess somebody more important showed up!

We came to le dome last week as a group of 4 Australians, enthusiastic to see the famous dome and enjoy some delicious French food. How disappointed we were. First of all the service was simply appalling, unfriendly, doing the bare minimum and clearly they did not care if we were enjoying the meal at all. After serving us our... More

The Dome is a spectacular restaurant that has so much charm. We went out to celebrate my friends 40th this evening and were so very impressed with the food! I had the frozen pea soup for a starter and rack of lamb as a main course. Such a perfect choice. I highly recommend this restaurant. Great ambiance and the service... More

Enjoyed a laid-back Sunday lunch under the dome of this enchanting restaurant. The food was well presented and tasted beautiful. The service was reasonable but a bit difficult at times to attract the attention of the wait staff. They could have been a bit more attentive. Overall a pleasant experience.

Had lunch there on a busy day in the Marais. When we entered the noise outside was replaced by particularly good jazz as we were seated under the dome of the main dining area. It was comfortably full but the noise level was never obtrusive. We ordered one of their specials that day, beef with a sauce de poivre which... More

Yes, this is that kind of place. Good food, but pretentious, and scarce. That's what comes with the ambience and glamour of the place. Service is good but waiting staff will make sure you realize how much others are paying or how often they eat here in comparison to you.

I have been to Paris many times and always felt that the reputation of the restaurant staffs as beeing snooty and unhelpful was unfair - until now. They weren't horrible, just kind of distant, you got the feeling that they did not give a damn whether you had a good meal. We stayed at a very nice hotel nearby, and... More

For my husband and I was our first time in Paris and we wanted to save one special night for a fancy dinner. We were staying in the area and went out walking hoping to find that special place for our romantic dinner. Then a door opened and we looked inside and we saw the beautiful indoor garden! We just... Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
