A great find

We happened across this place and were every happy we did. Quirky interior with a lovely menu that was all perfectly presented and very tasty. We loved it and look forward to returning.

It was an amazing experience here. You have a few choises for a starter, main menu and dessert. Each of them are very good. I recommend the dessert: chocolate bomb, very strong chocolate and very good. Besides good food, they have very good services. All the time it was someone checking on us. The meals are not big, so any... More

When I come to Paris, I seek out some of the most amazing restaurants. This restaurant is flash, pricey and the ambiance is wonderful. You sit under a wonderful dome ceiling on velvet soft formal chairs. The service is exceptional but I left disappointed at the quality of the food. The entree I chose was pumpkin soup and that was... We visited this restaurant for lunch on a Saturday. We were quite early to the restaurant just gone midday and it was very quiet inside. The service could have been better - we were pounced on as soon as we arrived and then from then onwards the waiter took ages to come back and take our orders. I had the... More

The pros : beautiful building, in particular if you sit below the dome (ask for it at the time of booking). Good pricing for the set menu, and also wine list with some good surprises. The cons : service with ups and down, kitchen preparation requiring more attention (a piece of plastic film was found in a meat dish)

Let me just start by asking- what is happening to a 5 star restaurant services?? Where is the manners and caring for the customers from this waitresses/waiters?? I know that Paris has its réputation by waitresses and waiters being arrogant but that's more if you go to a brasserie. Even I had better services in a brasserie... Well another disappointment.... I liked the location, in the heart of Marais. It is a very fine restaurant displayed in a covered courtyard with a glass dome and a nice baroque room with chandeliers and a very Parisienne atmosphere. Food was very good, the service was excellent, not too expensive. Clients were mostly Locals.

A perfect spot for lunch before an afternoon visit to the Picasso Museum. There are 2 delightful dining areas, one; more formal located under the famous dome and the other with a more garden conservatory feel. Eating lunch here was a great way to enjoy the kitchen's talents without too hefty a price tag. Well prepared fresh ingredients with straightforward... More

The place is really cosy and calm, you wouldn't think you're in Paris! It's a great getaway for a tea time break! The tea was good but needless to say that the muffins were not the best (didn't seem fresh) but other than that we spent a nice time there!

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
