Amazing quality food on really good value

My partner and I saw this place on trip advisor and thought to give it a chance. Little we knew that it would be the best place we had dinner in Paris on our trip. I went to this restaurant for Valentine's day with my boyfriend after doing an intensive restaurant search and it definitely lived up to standards. On arrival you are greeted by the lovely waiters who are incredibly friendly and just love to smile. The restaurant itself has a lovely rustic and romantic ambiance, thus is the perfect setting for couples. As... More

We ate here for our Valentine's Day evening meal and it was the best experience of our trip. The restaurant is beautiful, small and very cosy with candles and authentic French decor. The waiters spoke English and were very welcoming. We had booked ahead in case it was busy and were glad we did! They had a set menu for... More

We visited this lovely little restaurant in March last year, and because we had such a wonderful evening it has bothered me since that I haven't gotten round to reviewing it. We got the set menu of 3 courses for around £21 - absolute bargain. It was the best place we visited in terms of value for money and the... More

Myself and my fiance spent two nights in Paris and on our first day decided to make no plan and just take a stroll and eat somewhere that took our fancy. We were the first people that selected this restaurant that day as all on the street were empty as we were early. We are so glad we chose this... More

I was invited by a friend and so happy for that! What a wonderful ambiance and right away a feeling of being welcomed. The food was very fresh and tasty. I had the salmon carpaccio to start and the scallops as my main dish. Interesting though that the scallops were served with mashed potatoes which were very delicious by the... More

This restaurant is beautiful, small and romantic and the staff are very delightful! There was four of us who visited and we were told they specialised in seafood. So we all had at least one course of seafood. I had salmon as a starter - it was 'ok'. I had duck for a main and was quite disappointed with this... More

I'm dead serious when I say "we wish we had dined here every night of our trip to Paris." This cozy candle lit restaurant in the Latin Quarter serves gourmet food at an affordable price. They welcomed us with open arms "without" a reservation... an extreme rarity in Paris. The service was warm and friendly while still maintaining the classy,... More

We found the restaurant on this website. And it made our night! Great service and warmy local environment. As for the food, nothing could be better! And three courses only cost 21?! I have every reason to recommand everyone this restaurant!

For our first night in Paris we ate at La Maison and everything was wonderful from start to finish. We felt welcome from the time we walked through the door and every course was better than the last... The escargot, wine, all five main dishes (lamb x2, steak, scallops, salmon), and the desserts (creme brûlée, chocolate mousse, and a delicious... More

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
