Sublime Restaurant in the Latin Quarter in Paris

I have been to Paris a few time therefore, I have tried few good restaurants but "La Mansion De Verlaine" tops them all. The food in this restaurant is out of this world. The customers service is spectacular.

Consistently great food and the best customer service you will find! I first visited this restaurant back in 2012 and visited again recently and the food, staff, ambiance and value for money are still all brilliant! Could not fault a thing

We had our had our dinner in this little restaurant yesterday evening. The onion soup was one of the bedt and the duck was crispy. We finished with profiterolls. Great place!

Had a great meal here and a lot of fun. Be sure to ask the waiters to play the French music from the '50s and '60s. Claude Nougaro and Serge Gainsbourg rule!

A really great evening in Paris. We stumbled across this place and when they asked if we had a reservation we knew it must've been good. We didn't, but luckily they squeezed us in. Definitely book ahead for big groups. Ernest Hemmingway lived in this building, it's stooped in history. We sat outside, even though it was December 29th, as... More

The ambience here is very old Paris, as is the menu. I had foie gras and duck, and it was delicious. The service is extremely kind and efficient. The bistro is right in the Rue Mouffetard restaurant area. Very reasonably priced for the quality and location. Highly recommend.

Waiter refused (after consultation) to serve a dish from the menu (combo cheese). Only were willing to serve full menu. Additionally unkind staff. We left the restaurant.

La Maison de Verlaine is a beautiful little restaurant. The staff is attentive (but not too much so) and the fish (salmon for my husband and scallops for me) was perfect.

I went there with some friends, we were celebrating the upcoming wedding of one of them, so it was a special time for us. We had a really good time, the food was excellent and delicious, the drinks and wine also very good. Plus, the waiters were really amiable and courteous, even though it can be a little difficult to... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
