I can't say much more than the title really. A fantastic little restaurant which balances being a traditional French restaurant and being welcoming and accessible to all. Superb value for money. Couldn't find a single fault. Will recommend to anyone visiting Paris in the future.

La Maison de Verlaine has stood my test of time. I think I first ate here in 2007 or 2008. Brigitte and Nicolas are always a welcome sight to see! The traditional french food is consistently delicious, and service remains first rate! It is like visiting friends for dinner! Always fun to see what they have done to the restaurant... More

This is a small restaurant with a delightfully romantic ambiance. The staff is very accepting of poor to no French speaking clientele, and the service was quite nice. Many French establishments do not like to refill drinking water, but this place was quick at keeping our glasses full. We started with escargot and a poached egg over mushroom salad that... More

Walked past initially , but we both commented that it looked lovely . White table cloths, candle light , small and intimate. Had a couple of glasses of wine at a wine bar nearby. Had a quick look at trip advisor and thought we would see if there was a free table. From the minute we walked in to the... More

I've picked this restaurant based on these reviews and I'm very pleased to say it was a good choice. Excellent food, excellent service and atmosphere. We felt really welcome even though we were the only not-french there. For a bit more money the evening before we had much poorer dinner. It's worth to come here, I would highly recommend this... For friendly service, atmosphere and value Maison de Verlaine is very hard to beat. Nicos and his family take great pride in giving their clients a very warm welcome and food that's tough to beat. If you eat here on your first night in Paris there's a good chance you'll dine at Maison de Verlaine more than once.

This place was amazing! The food to the service A+. The lamb is a must, but sells out fast. The pepper steak is made to perfection, overall the quality of the food is amazing. Price wise all I can say is WOW!!!!! The set menu is a great deal or ala cart, and the wine! We are already planing on... More

Chose this restaurant by chance on an evening in Paris - often a chancy proposition as for every unforgettable meal in Paris there are lots you wish you could forget. How great that my random choice turned out to be La Maison de Verlaine. Over the top great service, delicious food and a surprisingly small bill. The owner/manager was very... More

Very seldom are all the ingredients in place to make a dining experience perfect. This evening was one of those rare moments. A few steps away from Rue Mouffetard, with a most charming terrace, and super friendly staff, we could only ask for good food. And it was. Not perfect (one of the magret dishes was slightly overlooked)' but the... More
