Fantastic restaurant. Really nice food. Tasted snails for the first time, and I loved it. Friendly staff. Will defiantly eat here if next time I am in Paris

Great dinner tonight. Staff was very friendly and accommodating as we speak very little French aside from English. They had English menus which was great. French onion soup and duck liver pâté was great along with scallops and lamb chops, creme brûlée and chocolate mousse. Dinner with wine and espresso was 65e, very affordable and great experience. Merci! Eric and... More

After reading the reviews on Tripadvisor, we were looking forward to this meal. It is a beautiful location, a lovely building and restaurant, and in demand. We arrived at 8pm on a warm Saturday evening and got a table just inside the window. The menu was a reasonable price, and the wine was good value, but the service was pretty... More

While the service here is good and the menu has a nice selection there are far better places to eat in Paris. We enjoyed good wine service and the duck liver appetizer really was fantastic but my wife's beef was far overcooked (ordered med-rare) and my seafood dish was mediocre. The outdoor dining was nice but not worth the price.... More

Always enjoy our food there. Friendly waiters set menu offered. Good choices of wines. Outside dining in the summer is a must. Open in August.

Great food, good prices and very friendly service (even to us tourists!) Which is quite an exception during out days in Paris. (TIP: try the duck liver as starter)

POSITIVE: -Exhaustive menu of french cuisine. -Taste not bad. -Interior design feels somehow "parisian". NEGATIVE: -With such an exhaustive menu you can doubt that everything is homemade, like for most restaurants in this touristic area. -I'm used to french restaurants and this one truly doesn't deserve its rating on Tripadvisor. This restaurant will fool most American tourists, but not the... More

After having a few hit and miss dining experiences in the Latin quarter it was a relief to find a gem in La Maison de Verlaine. The restaurant was romantic and cosy and had the look and feel of what I thought a traditional Parisian restaurant should be; apart from the odd London road name sign here and there! The... More

This restaurant is in the building where Hemingway lived for 2.5 years in Paris. One can only assume he ate there as it's been around for a long time. We didn't have reservations but i recommend them as it was crowded. Since we came late (10pm) some folks were clearing out and that's how we got our table. The decor... More
