Warm and local atmosphere, delicious dishes

A great local restaurant! I went to A Mi Chemin on the recommendation of my airbnb host. I was dining alone but the staff made me feel extremely welcome and comfortable. A great local restaurant! I went to A Mi Chemin on the recommendation of my airbnb host. I was dining alone but the staff made me feel extremely welcome and comfortable. We were recommended this restaurant by our Hotel .... and what a great recommendation it was ! The place was packed on a Wednesday night full of French people which for us was a great indication that we were on to a winner ! Being typical English our French wasn't up to much however we were made to feel very... More

It has been at least 6 years since I ate here and it was worth the wait. I guess all critics are worth listening to but for me this was a very good meal. I had a brandade de chèvre and my wife the black pudding both original and delicious. When I ordered the kidney it was cooked pink to... More

We went with our young child. Staff was friendly with her and usand the setting is not a Paris brasserie style but different. the food is Marocan and French. We took French style (kidneys and white fish) and liked it very much. I think if you're hungry, you'd better to take two or three courses (entrance+main or main + dessert... More

We have been living in Paris for several years with interruptions in other cities. The food has been good since 2008 and we continue to return when we visit/live here. Food is very good with a small menu and some classics that you can find nearly all the time: as a starter in winter we definitely recommend the boudin/foie gras... More

We stumbled across this amazing little restaurant on our way to another restaurant in the area. The outside appearance peaked our interest. We also did a quick search to confirm our instinct. My number one guy and I learned a husband wife team owns A Mi-Chiming. I believe her name is Virginie we didn’t catch her husband name, but he... More

I've eaten in countless Parisienne Restaurants and I make a bee-line for this charming restaurant everytime I am in Paris (four times a year). The food is absolutely delicious. I recently had a caramelised pork & vegetable tagine served in a saucepan with couscous which was mouth wateringly good. The steaks served are beautifully tender and the deserts just melt... More

I went to A Mi Chemin a few months ago and I am shocked to see that it was given Trip Advisor's Certificate of Excellence for 2014. The food is very simple and nothing elaborate. Not much love goes into the cooking. The ambiance and food were to not to our liking and are mediocre at best. The service was... More

We stumbled across this amazing little restaurant after visiting the catacombs. My French isn't so good but the staff were really polite and friendly and OH MY GOODNESS the food was to DIE for! Honestly the best meal I think over ever had, and for €20 for two courses an absolute bargain too. The meals were so flavoursome and balanced,... More

The main advantage for us was that the restaurant was close to the place we stayed. It has good food but in the neighborhood of rue Daguerre we found better places. In particular the real gem Aux Enfants Gates which is only slightly more expensive than A Mi Chemin but highly better in taste. We would return to A Mi... More

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighborhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.
