Family atmosphere, great homemade food!

Wonderful meal! We were tired and hungry walking all day in Paris. We turned down a quiet little street and found Chez Fernand. As soon as we walked in we felt welcomed. The service was excellent and we enjoyed the most amazing dinner and desert. If you chose to dine here you won't be disappointed!

On our first night in Paris we happened to come upon a small, almost hidden, restaurant on Rue Christine. Our group of four were warmly welcomed by our charming waiter. The food was excellent and the prices modest. The wine list was carefully selected and the prices were so good we ordered a second bottle. Chez Fernand is a real... More

We did have a booking, we did arrive on time, our table was ready when we arrived, but we were asked to wait... Why? Not sure. They seemed too important to care for their customers. (Oh, and in case you wonder, yes we were courteous, we speak french and were dressed accordingly) but, we were also hungry. And in the... More

Really nice food: I had the baked Camembert as starter, le boeuf bourguignon as main but what was truly amazing was the dessert: a cooked at perfection coulant au chocolate. Served with salted butter caramel ice cream, it was one of the most delicious chocolate dessert I've ever had. That is a must try for sure. Service was good, the... More

Absolutely delicious! My husband and I dined here twice during our week stay. We ate beef bourgeon and chicken both were tender and moist with savory sauce with generous portions. Knowledgeable about wine paring and history of the vines. They let us buy some wine with 30% off. The manager also gave us recommendations after dinner. By far the best... More

Our Hotel had recommended Chez Fernand and they were spot on. We LOVED it! The meal was fabulous (have the crab entree - I'm still thinking about how good it was - 4 days later)... The food was great, the service friendly, efficient and just the perfect place to enjoy in Paris.... Plus, to make our evening even better, we... More

The restaurant was highly recommended by our hotel's front desk so we decided to go there. Excellent service and friendly staff but we were disappointed with the food. We ordered fish and steak and the fish was fine but the steak meat was really tough and inedible. Everything else that went with it was perfect like wine, bread, salad but... More

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
