Loved the atmosphere here as the restaurant is small, charming, and very French. The food was delicious as I had chicken ravioli with mushrooms and a small salad. Great selection of wine by the glass and great espresso. Will return before I leave Paris this week. The wait staff very attentive and friendly. The speak English took along with an... More

The food here is excellent with daily specials and the prices are reasonable for Paris. The owner is on site most days and all staff are very concerned about making your experience a delight. Easy, casual atmosphere.....our dinner guests found this to be there best dining experience, fun and very tasty! Ron H.

My mother and I were staying nearby at Relais Christine and figured we would try Chez Fernand just for the convenience factor, we were pleasantly surprised! The staff is so nice and welcoming, and the food was very, very tasty. I had the Beef Bourguignon (I still dream about it) and my mom had the Salmon one of the nights... More

We've been in France now ten days...this has been the most enjoyable dinner yet! The food is magnificent, even better is the staff! I highly suggest you try this side-street-alley find! You will not be disappointed!

Awesome little restaurant, a bit squeezed together and unique way of getting in and out of your seat as there are benches against the wall. However once you get over that you hardly notice anyone else in the room, unless you're with someone you don't really want to be with and then it's a good thing. Food is out of... More

Small place on a small street. All of which adds to the personality. Not cheap, but the food and atmosphere are worth it for locals and tourists. Instead of searching it's worth a visit.

Visited after recommendation by our Hotel (Citadines). One of the better meals of many visits to France. Bouef Bourgignon was a winner. We returned twice, once for a birthday celebration, had varied meal choices and enjoyed all thoroughly. Good friendly and helpful service. Will return again.

Located just a few blocks south of the Pont Neuf bridge at Notre Dame and down a short side street, we found this delightful restaurant. Our group of four had made reservations earlier but they still were taking walk-ins that evening. We had beef bourguignon, duck magret, chicken and veal. The waitress paired the best wines with our choices and... More

This was the first meal we ate in France on this trip and it turned out to be the best. This is the way I remember French cuisine being. The focus on the freshness of the product, the preparation, and presentation. My husband had a veal chop that was cooked to perfection, tender, and flavorful. I had the beef bourguignon.... More

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
