Delicious food and friendly atmosphere

The place is a classic place to go, famous for its food and I can highly recommend the chocolate cake. The staff is friendly The crowd is a mix of (too) numerous tourists and regulars. A little pricey but worth it

I invited my family to this place for a celebration, my daughter that lives here suggested it. Everybody had a good meal except me with my main course. It was pave de veau gratinee, in other words a thick veal steak, the meat was dry and tasteless as well as the sauce on top used for the gratinee, it was... More

We keep returning to this restaurant over and over and have never been disappointed. Cute little place on a cute little street. The food is always amazing and the staff is so friendly and accommodating. The menu changes so there is always something new to try. Just had the scallops and the duck were delicious . Starters included an avocado... More

The bistro has an unpretentious vibe with friendly and young French staff. No surly attitude just helpfulness and sensible advice. They don't do kids meals but easily and flexibly accommodated my eight year old son with a beautifully cooked medium filet and mashed potatoes. He was in heaven. I had mushroom ravioli in a foie gras sauce which was fantastic... More

Chez Fernand was really good. We were staying in Le Marais but were over in the Latin Quarter area doing some sight seeing and this place came recommended. We were not disapointed. We sat in a window seat overlooking a very quaint street. My husband started with the bone marrow that was very very good. And the presentation of the... More

One word: Beef Bourguignon. This dish below me away. The gravy was so rich, the beef so tender, and the potatoes and veggies were so flavorful. (This was my wife's meal) I had the day special ribeye. It was cook perfectly !! The owner has a great French charm even with tourist. The bone marrow, baked cheese, and creme brulee... More

We were skeptical when our hotel effusively recommended this place (they were so enthusiastic we thought surely there was some relationship), but frankly we wound up falling in love with Chez Ferdinand and went back twice. Drink to your hearts content and don't even think about your waistline while diving into bone barrow, escargot and boeuf borgeneoune (sp?). They make... More

We had two great meals in this restaurant that top our surprise had as many or more French clients as tourists on a street of places popular with visitors. The food and staff were both perfect for this bistro style place.

Hidden on a little side street close to the Seine in a charming old building this Restaurant delivered ambience and taste in spades! We were recommended by the concierge at our hotel and it was everything we had hoped for. Cozy charm, nice menu and great wait staff. We enjoyed the artichoke and salmon tartar starters and the main was... More

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
