Very good dinner in St. Paul

We again decided to go for dinner at Cru and it was a good choice. Service is attentive, but the highlight is food, raw and cooked. We had artichokes and salmon as apetizers and suckiling pig and cheviche for main courses. Well done - we will be back.

Stumbled into CRU while browsing the Village St. Paul & chose it by its street appeal. Was warmly rec'd even though we entered thru the back door. Being Oct. of course there was no courtyard sitting. ( it does have a lovely courtyard setting that would be lovely in warmer weather if one is not "smoked" out) we had seafood... More

I rate my dinner experience at Cru as average, neither good nor bad. The location is nice, right in the middle of the St:Paul area. Service was OK and the wine was excellent (and not very expensive). My wife had a vegetable chicken wok which she liked a lot, and I had a piece of meat that was plain and... More

We stay in Paris for a month every year, and generally don't spend a lot of time eating out, as it is usually tres cher. However, when we are exploring, such as we were at the Village St. Paul brocante today, we will hope to catch an inexpensive lunch out. We went into this small but cozy place not knowing... More

the restaurant is in a nice position in Saint Paul area, very quite and the food was really good, fresh and healthy. Just one thing that I did not like, the service. It was very poor and the people are not very kind.

We had a very delicious meal here at saterday noon in a very quiet environment in the center of Paris. The wine was devine! A place to try and the detour worth.

We had lunch here on a busy, sunny Saturday. Our table was in the shade but with a good view of the inner cour. The melon, grapefruit and salmon eggs was refreshing and a good starter. Ceviche de veau with yuzu was my first experience of uncooked veal - very good too. The sautéd potatoes seemed a bit out of... More

We stumbled on this shady courtyard while wandering down the smaller and quieter streets on the lower Marais . We spotted a vacant table and service was prompt and the rose reminded me of summer days in Provence .I chose the spring vegetables which were presented without salt or pepper . They didn't require any additional flavour and were al... More

We tried to have a late lunch on a Sunday. While we came in three waitresses were talking to each other and took to much time to show us to our table. When they finally showed us our table they said the kitchen had problems, there was no choice what to eat and drink but they imagined that was not... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
