Go for the pain au chocolat, really good, as you would expect in Paris. The croissant was just ok, the place is nice, unfortunately a cat walks around, I personally don't like it in a bakery eat in.

Four of us stopped in for a lunch. The food was bland (I had a literally flavourless grilled sandwich of salmon on panini) and the service was awful. They got my wife's order wrong and when we mentioned it our server got mad at her, as though it was somehow her fault. My son is a vegetarian and we had... More

I popped in for an espresso and poopy seed streudel. Very good although thebstreudel was a bit sweeter than I prefer. It was busy but the service for me was pretty quick.

I had been here before and had found them unfriendly but I went back recently because everything there is delicious and everyone deserves a second chance. They were unfriendly. If service is important for you there are plenty of other Jweish food options around, literally meters away, with everything that Korcarz offers, and without making you feel you're actually disturbing... We had wanted to visit Korcarz a few days before but they were closed. This place was literally 3 minutes walk from our Airbnb apartment so on the day of our departure I scooted off for some croissants and pain au raisin! They were delicious... sadly we could not sample any more of the delicious looking pastries and cakes.... next... More

I went multiple times for coffee and pastry. All my selections, from a simple brioche to a fancy chocolate spiral were fabulous. I didn't eat in, instead I carried my purchases to a nearby park and watched the locals go about their day. They have outdoor seating where you can do the same thing, but I preferred the parks in... Amazing cafe and cake shop in the Jewish quarter of Paris. Great if you fancy a light meal and the patisserie cakes - well, go and see for yourself! Good for coffee too.

A place with ethnic food that is both traditional and very well made and served. The desserts, especially the strudel is to "die for" and we recommend it fully. Recently expanded to take care of the many patrons who want to go to this site. We have gone back several times with each visit better than the previous one. An... More

Growing up in New York, we were lucky enough to have many kosher bakeries with cakes, danishes and other goodies that were just not common outside most metropolitan areas in the U.S. Over the years these bakeries closed and no new ones have opened to replace them. We were so thrilled to find Korcarz, on Rue Rosiers, on one of... More

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
