Dear customers, you are most welcome to bistro lorette but for those who do not yet know our restaurant it seems useful to clarify some important details. Firstly we are a neighborhood bistro, not a gourmet restaurant, we have neither the desire nor the claim, we are only 2 to manage the facility 1 kitchen 1 bathroom, so there may have the expectation (reasonable) at your arrival. Cooking takes time, we take the time, do you have time?

On asking my hotel to make a reservation, the reception staff are excellent (I’ve stayed many times), they politely declined as they have previously been unable to get through on the phone. Having personally phoned and failed to get an answer I arrived at 7.00 p.m. and had to wait 15 minutes as the door was locked – the restaurant... More

My husband and I ventured to this place for our last night in Paris. The people were friendly and accommodating (proving English translated dinner). They allowed us and about 3 other couples who arrived around 7pm to dine without previously booking. However, we also saw the rest of the people who entered in without reservations turned away (the second wave... More

I loved the intimacy of the small restaurant and the obvious passion for food that the owner(?) has. We had a 3 course dinner for 32 euros - profiteroles with crab and cod, served hot, for main seabass fillet with risotto and for desert hot cherries with pistachios. There are four choices of each course, and this apparently changes regularly.... More

We found this place on here as it was super close to our hotel (Hotel Joyce), we didnt have a reservation but decided to chance it as it was so close. We were lucky and got the last free table for the night, several people came and were sent away after us. Grub was very tasty and reasonable and we... More

My Mum and I had a lovely meal is this great little bistro! Great atmosphere with personal service! The Gambas was a delicious starter with a melt in your mouth lamb as a main. Thank you!

My son and I, travelling in Paris, adored this little French restaurant. My son was adamant we should eat only in true and authentic French Restaurants - and this was perfect. I loved the duck, my son loved everything ( we went for 3 nights of our 5 night stay) great beer and wine selection - highly recommend. Eat with... More

Small, intimate French restaurant with wonderful food. The only downside would be that it was very hot and stuffy - they turn the heat up so make sure you wear layers! But apart from that I wish we had gone back there for a second visit and tried out some of the other dishes!

Definitely carefully prepared food done with skill and imagination. A lot more vegetables than a typical Paris restaurant. A small place which can be tricky to book but worth the effort. I got the feeling that turning up after mid evening diners have finished will not mean you get a table without reservation, even if there are spaces.

I decided to have dinner here as I read the positive comments. We reserved a table the morning for the night and just had a 7.30 pm available. Worth it, I was in Paris with my boyfriend, we are from Italy and we were a little concerned about french cuisine but I have to say that dishes were pretty special... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
