Dear customers, you are most welcome to bistro lorette but for those who do not yet know our restaurant it seems useful to clarify some important details. Firstly we are a neighborhood bistro, not a gourmet restaurant, we have neither the desire nor the claim, we are only 2 to manage the facility 1 kitchen 1 bathroom, so there may have the expectation (reasonable) at your arrival. Cooking takes time, we take the time, do you have time?

We have an apartment in Pigalle and go to Paris at least once a year. We have been coming here for years. My wife speaks French fluently and so has always been able to communicate with, and to a certain extent, chat up the co-owner/server. So we have generally received good service, and the food has always been delicious. But... More

Me and my friend ordered set menu which is 10euro per person and it is really not good about the taste. Don't ever consider this store.

Despite making a reservation over 2 months before we were due to visit, the restaurant decided to cancel our booking to accommodate a group. Not only is this in itself terrible but they did not have the courtesy to tell us they had done this in advance meaning we were left to find a restaurant at no notice. As this... More

We were celebrating 25 years of marriage and we picked up this bistro based on its reviews. It' a small bistro with 13 tables, only with reservation. Open from 7:30pm to 11pm. It's closed Sundays and Mondays. +: Very good food, good recommendation for wine, nice atmosphere - : service in a hurry, no patience to explain the food, no... More

This place is great for a good value, good quality meal in an area that has many poor value, poor quality restaurants. You have to book as it is small, and you will see from the reviews some people find the directness of the manager a little off putting but I think he is great and is just trying to... More

Arrived in the area and managed to be squeezed in to this lovely little bistro - starters were amazing and main course also lovely. Because we hadn't reserved we were told he would need the table in an hour but we managed this just fine !!! (Wouldn't have had time for a desert so good job we were splendidly full!)... More

Looking for a cozy local bistrot, we opted for Lorette after reading the reviews over here. I'd have to say we didn't receive any foodie experience to remember. They have a set menu of a starter+main, starter+main+dessert, etc and choice of 3 dishes for each course. Mostly I was looking forward for the veal which I ordered for main course,... More

Here is the perfect Parisian bistrot experience. Warm and friendly welcome, a small but tempting blackboard menu and great value for money. The lamb main course was the stand out but it was all delicious. Yes it's small and the tables are tight but that's part of the charm.

Although it was full of reservation, the waiter managed to get our table. We did love and enjoy its atmosphere, dishes and drink. Thank you so much for your kindness and hospitality. We will definitely come back again :)

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
