Last November Frenchie was the first restaurant we had dinner at after arriving in Paris . What a way to start our first trip to the city of lights . About a week ago we did the same thing. First dinner in Paris was at Frenchie Wine bar , and it was just as good as we had imagined for... More

We ate at the wine bar; directly across the restaurant. Everything was very delicious and unique but I cannot forget the lobster roll. Don’t underestimate it just because it’s a roll; once you eat, you’ll never forget it. No need to tell their wine menu is extensive. If you like pinot noir, you can go for Frederic Magnien; good for... More

Frenchie is a very cozy restaurant. The atmosphere of the restaurant was calming and relaxing and the service was excellent. We had tapas, and shared it among the four of us, it was a very good dinner experience. They even sang the birthday song for my boyfriend when they brought him a cake :) I would recommend being there a... More

When my wife told me we were going to a wine bar to meet up with a couple of friends, I was initially excited at the prospect of spending the evening quaffing fine wines, then apprehensive about how much this was going to cost me. In the end the experience was somewhat different.... I loved this place not just because... More

Let me just get the negative out of the way, since it is relatively insignificant and seasonal. We dined at Frenchie's on one of those 30+C in Paris days and, while it cooled down somewhat outside by the time we sat for dinner, it was still very-very warm inside the restaurant and the air conditioning was either non-existent or not... There were six friends for dinner. We were taken to an upstairs table. The service was excellent. The servers were very friendly and had no trouble with English. They were very helpful. The menu was full of wonderful sounding choices. All in all it was a memorable night.

Qued up at 6.50 to grab a table at Frenchies when it opened at 7, we were not the only ones and the tiny restaurant was soon packed. A real French bistro feel, we enjoyed small portions of winkles and crab mousse with wine and beer, a very good standard of food. Little disappointed being British and holidaying in Paris... More

The best way to start your dinner with a family of six is to order a dessert!:) NO,no ..First, it's a reservation! The restaurant is really small, but cozy. Our children have made it ahead of time. We started our dinner with a tasting menu. My husband , who is vegetarian for more than ten years) tried a piece of... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
