Our best dinner in Paris!

Our last dinner in Paris was also our most memorable thanks to Frenchies. Leah was a wonderful gregarious host who went out of her way to help us celebrate a special occasion. The tasting menu was great fun - an amuse bouche, 2 entrees, 2 main courses plus dessert. All created on or off menu as... read more

My partner and I ate at Frenchie the night after we arrived in Paris. We had been trying to secure a reservation here for FIVE years and were excited to finally nab one. Perhaps our expectations had been inflated by seeing TV interviews with owner/chef Gregory Marchand and reading reviews in both food magazines and online that simply raved about... More

The food was good but the service was awful! My daughter and I had dinner here tonight. We opted for the tasting menu. ( thought it was a good deal and we would get to sample the different things on the menu) the first starter was nice. The second starter, and two main courses the fish and the chicken all... More

We weren't able to get rez on short notice, but we queued up at 6:30 for their 7PM seating at their next door Bar a Vins. We snagged a table overlooking the kitchen and got to watch the chef's prepare every dish. We lucked in to getting sat with a group of U.S. Ex-Pats and had a great time. The... More

If you are able to secure a table reservation at this place you will not be disappointed, definitely one of the best meals i have had, the Chef took extra special care of my daughters nut allergy and had a substitute dish at no charge for every dish that we ordered with Nuts, The food is to die for, pricey... If you look at my review history you can see that I have posted around 400 or so reviews, and I think that a good proportion of them would give between 4 and 5 stars. So I am a pretty experienced TripAdvisor contributor and I don't jump to harsh judgements. HOWEVER, I can say with some certainty that the experience... More

We attended a group dinner at this restaurant and were very impressed with the food and wine service -- everything was delicious, and very creative. The sommelier was extremely generous with his time and went the extra mile to provide us with a really good experience. My only complaint is regarding the service -- the service in the restaurant was... More

Perhaps we caught this restaurant on an off night, but none of our group was impressed by the food OR the service. They were out of the first bottle of wine we ordered. The tasting menu was not terribly impressive with each dish just missing a bit of something. Given that this restaurant doesn't even answer their phone and it's... More

excellent execution of very interesting and tasty food. The owner(Greg Marchand) is present and obviously concerned with keeping up a very high standard Well worth the effort to get in and reasonably priced considering the quality of the food

Wow did I love the food there. We went to the wine bar across from the restaurant and had a few dishes we shared. It was an experience to say the least. Also had amazing wine. Get there at 19 /7 pm to get a table. You will not be disappointed.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
