The exterior of this restaurant does not prepare you for what is inside. A rather unpretentious entrance leads to a very intimate and sparsely decorated dining room. The wow factor was the food itself! Due to time constraints we opted for the shorter menu, but this was with regret. I left wishing I had the additional time to savour many... More

Teeny tiny wonderful gem of a restaurant for a truly inspired gourmet meal. There are 2 options only for lunch- 3 course executive lunch or longer tasting menu. We opted for the executive menu and found it to be wonderful. There was an optional add on available which was outstanding, a tiny gnocchi with caviar, not to miss, amazing! Enjoy!

We were two for dinner, one vegetarian and one carnivore. We had a tasting menu of 8 courses, the carnivore's matched with house selected wines. Each course was beautifully plated, very refined, very subtle in flavour, but not especially memorable or gastronomically uplifting. Perhaps this had something to do with its Japanese-inspired origins. There seemed to be no "progress" in... More

I think the reviews below have summed up everything very nicely. An unpretentious restaurant with great presentation, great taste and great service. Not overly priced. I would go there every time I come to Paris.

Cozy restaurant tucked along a quaint passageway. Food was light and delicate and the food was an interesting fusion of flavors.

We had a fabulous dinner at Passage53 (May 2014). It's a tiny 25 seat place in an unpretentious location. Brilliant fusion of Japanese aesthetic and classic technique. Pure flavours and elegant presentation. Perhaps the best veal and lamb we've ever had. It's a degustation/tasting only menu. We did not have the additional truffle and caviar options but did have a... More

My wife and I, along with her brother, dined here on 4/17/14 for his his birthday while we were in Paris on vacation. He had been here previously and wanted us to try this restaurant on this trip. I'm glad he did. We had dined at some nice highly-regarded restaurants on our international travels, but Passage 53 stands out as... More

We had the tasting meny. It was 8 courses. Small, beautiful dishes like pieces of art. The whole place is minimalistic. No decorations you could hardly see the one painting on the wall since it too was white! Personally I think this food is too pretentious so were also the presentations by the staff. The arcade outside is vey nice. In... More

This was to date, the best meal I have ever had. To have a 12 course tasting menu and absolutely love the presentation and taste of each dish is truly hard to find. You get michelin 2 star service (should be a 3 star in my opinion) yet the staff is very approachable and cultured in the food and experience.... More

The food was magnific and the service excellent! The meal was totally surprising because the name of each dish was announced once arrived on the table. We learned that only fresh products of the season were used a reason why they did not show us the menu.
