Description: Once upon a time there were Alban, Julien, Laurent, Erwann and Nicolas...
Once upon a time there were Alban, Julien, Laurent, Erwann and Nicolas five foodies, five real foodies, of the worst kind (the one that would 'kill' for an old-fashioned Blanquette of veal with some homemade chips or a sweet Tarte Tatin decorated with whipped cream).Five gourmets, basically amateurs, but who knew WHAT IS REALLY GOOD. Five nostalgics with bittersweet memories of their mum's cooking, simple and tasty at the same time, the one with real products, the one that you long for, the one that tastes GOOD... Yummy yummy... In summary this is the story of five mothers' sons who, because they like to eat and to eat right, got together to give birth to THEIR own restaurant, the one where the food is SIMPLY GOOD. And if you need to check that our food is GREAT, those four mummys' boys invite you to join them at 7 bis rue Geoffrey Marie, 9th district. NB: Lovers of deep-frozen food and canned peas are not welcome. The gourmet and authentic food is more efficient than whichever time-machine, and dives into a wonderful nostalgia...

Great french restaurant!

Lovely meal and service - Chicken en croute and pork with pasta risotto both lovely meals. Portions I found a little on the large side. Only thing I found was menu to me was a little small. Cafe Gourmand my friend had was also lovely!

Casual, friendly environment with many locals eating there. staff was friendly, efficient but not intrusive. Guests at neighbouring tables involved us in conversation. A lovely atmosphere with great food.

My friend recommended to go here. It was a lovely time and food was good. Just the menu was hard to read for us, foreigner, since it was written by cursive letters.

Very good atmosphere, extremely tasty food and very goos service! You can choose your dishes from a french-cuisine menu, but there is a very good level of personalization in the food, which makes you try something fairly unique.

I feel I might have been unlucky. Most feedbacks are good. But I went with my colleagues (4 of us) about a week ago to Fils à Maman and there is nothing we particularly liked. Yes, the place is nice, the room is comfi, its homy, it reminds you of your childhood. But the food is simply not amazing at... More

Pretentious service with 1h15 minutes wait and no apologizes, it seemed normal to be waiting so long. Expensive wine with bad taste. Food is good and prices are ok except for wine. Better be patient and zen!

We would never have found this place if the hotel hadn't recommended it, and if we had 'stumbled' on it we probably wouldn't have gone in; not particularly attractive from the street, and what seemed like an 'eclectic' menu from what we could make out from the French descriptions. But, my goodness, we're glad we did! The French descriptions turned... More

The decoration style is different from a typical french restaurant, more special but still keeps the french taste in it, the food was good,it was quite busy in the evening, and nice atmosphere, relaxing and joyful, would go again!

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
