Description: Once upon a time there were Alban, Julien, Laurent, Erwann and Nicolas five foodies, five real foodies, of the worst kind (the one that would 'kill' for an old-fashioned Blanquette of veal with some homemade chips or a sweet Tarte Tatin decorated with whipped cream).Five gourmets, basically amateurs, but who knew WHAT IS REALLY GOOD. Five nostalgics with bittersweet memories of their mum's cooking, simple and tasty at the same time, the one with real products, the one that you long for, the one that tastes GOOD... Yummy yummy... In summary this is the story of five mothers' sons who, because they like to eat and to eat right, got together to give birth to THEIR own restaurant, the one where the food is SIMPLY GOOD. And if you need to check that our food is GREAT, those four mummys' boys invite you to join them at 7 bis rue Geoffrey Marie, 9th district. NB: Lovers of deep-frozen food and canned peas are not welcome. The gourmet and authentic food is more efficient than whichever time-machine, and dives into a wonderful nostalgia...

Had lunch with a colleague. An egg starter came in a little pot with what I assume was cream and herbs. So good! I trusted the place enough to have steak tartare. Very good. Very cute decor. My Canadian credit cards didn't work although they've worked all over town before and since.

A must visit to this hidden gem. If we had not been staying at an hotel on the same road we would have missed the experience. We were made to feel very welcome, and the food was wonderful especially the puddings... and not a bad price.

We didn't mean to come here. We'd tried another, fully-booked restaurant nearby, and were keen to find an alternative without going far. This one had a write-up in Time Out which - on the face of it - didn't really appeal, being all about how a group of chaps had got together to recreate their mothers' cooking. I had visions... More

While navigating the cobblestones on one of the streets near Rue Republique, we stumbled into this lovely eatery. Most fo the customers were French and many appeared to be local business men and women. The food was tasty and nicely presented. The wine selection was interesting. We had a full-flavored rose from Provence to accompany a salmon tartare salad. The... More

I visited this restaurant with some colleagues who knew Paris very well and advised me that this was a fantastic restaurant. I was definately not disappointed! We went on a Saturday night (which conincided with the festival of music) so it was busy but we had booked a table which was ready for us. The theming of the place was... More

Glad I booked. Been trying for ages to get in. Worth it though. Food is original yet traditional. Good value. Decent service. Cosy tables. Mega burger is good!
