Description: Le Petit Bordelais features regular in the restaurant columns of French newspapers and magazines. This chic fine dining restaurant is between les Invalides and the Eiffel Tower. The décor is sophisticated and the service warm and welcoming. There is a definate South West influence in the regularly changing menu, for example the side of beef in a Bordeaux sauce.

We loved le Petit Bordelaise so much during our last Paris vacation that we had to visit again. We were not disappointed. The chef is truly gifted and creates delicious innovative meals. The waiters are very professional and they take excellent care of the guests while remaining in the background. We had our teenage granddaughters with us and they loved... More

I brought my parents tot his restaurant for their 40th anniversary and it was every bit as special as I hoped. We ordered the 5 course degustation with matching wines - we actually received 7 plate including small appetiser of beef terrine and some tasty tiny cakes at the end. The service was impeccable and the chef came to talk... More

I have raved about this restaurant ever since I first ate here a couple of years ago. So much so, I started to wonder if I was becoming a little bit biased in my reviews. It's just over a month since we last visited, this time, I was in Paris on business and I came here with guests who were... More

Our hotel recommended this place and the reviews are enthusiastic but what a disappointment. We eat out a lot and we looking for a fancy restaurant for my wife's birthday. We arrived at 7:40 pm to a near empty restaurant that never filled more than a few tables. We wanted to try the tasting menu but don't like foie gras... More

Reasonable nice place, with friendly staff and a colourful decor. We both had the tasting menu which was a bit of a hit and miss. The foie grass was not really in our taste. Way too rich compared to others we had elsewhere. The veal, cheese and chocolate was good, but not really a standout. The best part was the... More

I had the lobster terrine. I don't know what salty cat food tastes like, but I imagine the taste is very similar. There were only a very few sparse morsels of lobster in the terrine and the saltiness was so intense I had to continually intersperse drinking water with every few bites. For dessert I had the caramel apple over... More

We came here to celebrate my wife's birthday, it was our third visit, we would not come to Paris without eating at this beautiful restaurant. This time, we had our children in tow, and we met friends who had travelled from London. We had raved about this place, and neither of the rug rats (The younger of the two is... More

We went there March 14th, the restaurant is nice with calm decor. We were a group of six, the area has a lot of restaurants. The food overall was very good. However, there is no atmosphere whatsoever, too quiet, no music, everyone whispering. We were loud (oh yeah, typical Americans!), but we are out to dine, not to go to... More

I called a few weeks ahead to book a table for two and was greeted by Chef Philippe Pentecôte who picked up the phone. He was very engaging and friendly and I instantly knew we were in for a treat. The restaurant is located just off the popular foodie haven rue Saint-Dominique. It's premises are simply but well decorated with... More
