Le Petit Bordelais features regular in the restaurant columns of French newspapers and magazines. This chic fine dining restaurant is between les Invalides and the Eiffel Tower. The décor is sophisticated and the service warm and welcoming. There is a definate South West influence in the regularly changing menu, for example the side of beef in a Bordeaux sauce.

Good menu and attentive staff and proprietor

We have visited on more than one occasion and although the last occasion the meal was not entirely to my partners taste and the restaurant was quite I would and have recommended Le Petit Bordelais to friends. We found the food to be excellent quality and flavour and great value for central Paris

I have eaten at Le Petit Bordelais twice and I left both times questioning why this restaurant receives such a high rating from the Trip Advisor participants and questioning “l’addition”. Over the past year I have eaten in 60+ restaurants (primarily bistros) in Paris. I could be classified as a “foodie” as I have spent a considerable amount of time... More

Visited restaurant a few evenings ago towards the end of a 17 day trip to France. This was the worse meal I had during the entire trip. I had the tasting menu, including the wine. The fish was not as fresh as it should have been. I periodically got a whiff of ammonia, meaning the fish was on its way... More

First off let me start out by saying that this restaurant out did every expectation I had. I made a reservation about 2 days before the night I was planning dinner and didn't have any problems. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation and they seated us right away. The serving staff was top notch. Very pleasant, and although... More

My husband and I went here for a prixe fixe dinner and had a very enjoyable experience. The owner was friendly and attentive and came over to our table several times to check on our experience. I ordered a layered avocado and shrimp appetizer that was delicious- very refreshing and pretty. My husband's appetizer was a duck salad which was... More

Overpriced poorly cooked food. No atmosphere. Long wait for being asked for any kind of service i.e wold you like an aperitif and had to request a wine menu! Monkfish poached and overcooked and bland with tomato purée on the top. Scallops were also bland petit fours burn't. Overall a disappointing meal which was vastly overpriced!!

We came to Paris to celebrate my wife's birthday, more to the point we came to Le Petit Bordelais to celebrate my wife's birthday, as we did last year. This a wonderful restaurant, with friendly staff and a very dedicated chef. The menus change regularly and the food is always excellent. I had the crab cannelloni to start, unbelievable, it... More

Had intended to visit this restaurant for a long time (because of TripAdvisor reviews), the limiting factor was always that there were so many great restaurants within walking distance around the hotel where we always stay in Paris and this restaurant was a short taxi ride away. At last, at the beginning of February we took the taxi ride. We... More

On a whim a friend and I decided to go to Paris for lunch, from London. We booked a mid morning flight then realised that most restaurants in France stop serving around 2pm. As we could not go to the restaurant of our choice, we decided to visit this one. It was wonderful. The foie gras as a starter was... More

Superb restaurant . The flavours that chef brings to the table is amazing . I was not a great fan of courgettes but chef made them taste so good . We had the sample menu with wine and even my partner who doesn't normally like wine was loving it. Small romantic with great attention to the food and guests. I... More
