Description: The grandly named Château de l'Ouest is just a short walk from Paris's Montparnasse train station. It is a wonderfully French restaurant dedicated to the panoply of French gastronomy. Fran&ccdil;ois Quesnel is both the chef and owner and brings all his passion for different French regional dishes to the Château. He has sourced the very best in locally made artisanal regional produce, some of which can be bought to take away as well as ordered from the menu. There is a wide range of home made patés, meats, fish and succulent desserts to choose from. The restaurant itself has a cosy ambiance and a friendly, helpful staff.

We were out exploring the neighborhood when we saw this little place and decided to give it a try for dinner that evening. We were not disappointed. The food and service were very good. The owner doubled as our waiter. He was very personable, spoke very good english and made some excellent recommendations. There were 4 of us and each... More

This quaint place is located off the beaten path and was a very pleasant surprise. Prices were reasonable as was the wine list. Worth a try.

We found this little sidewalk cafe and restaurant after a long day of touring and we wanted a glass of wine. Enjoyed it so much we came back to enjoy their food on our last night in Paris. It was 2 blocks from our hotel and I was able to walk 1 block to get a great night time picture... More

Very tasty food, I particularly enjoyed the cheeseburger which was perfect after our flight. Very close to our hotel which was ideal for our first night in Paris. Small menu but a great selection for us. Good service

This place seems to aimed more at the local businessmen and residents than tourists. As a result, the food is straightforward and excellent traditional French fare. Treat yourself to a formule at lunch, along with a glass of wine and coffee, and understand what lunch is all about. I arrived just at the peak of the lunch rush, so I... More

Our hotel was in Montparnasse and this was the best food in the area. We ate here twice. Once I had scallops in a dense tomato sauce that was out of this world. The exact name escapes me. The next time I had a cheeseburger that smoked any American cheeseburger I've ever had. Their coffee was extremely good as well.... More

unarguably one of the best restos in Paris' 14th district and definitely likely the best within the mid range price. Fish is as fresh as nearly out of the water and cooked in the most fined manner. Desserts are really something and the service is simply great: friendly, courteous, quick. Bonus: during the week the formula entrée/plat ou plat/dessert cant... More

This restaurant is simply perfect, in a middle of choice in the Montparnasse area. Having offices nearby, we already had lunch or dinner a few times, and we pretty well know other places in the surroundings as well as large hotel restaurants and bars. To make it short, ingredients are ultra fresh, nether frozen, hence a rather limited choice: maybe... More
